The app for the new door system requires your location data AT ALL TIMES for it to function at all or it breaks the app, even if you give it access just while the app is running it won't work. This is either extremely lazy coding, or abuse of personal data but more than likely both. There is absolutely no good reason for them to require location data from building users at all times even outside of the building just to access basic building amenities.

Requires (completely unnecessary) alway-on location permissions. Does not close when you close it (have to force stop). Opens itself periodically. So if you don't want your location data basically streaming, you have to constantly force quit the app. Entirely inferior to every other form of key.

Horrible choice. App requires all permissions at all time. Access to your entire phone, has to be actively running all the time, just so you can enter or leave your work after hours or use a facility. Absolute garbage move by the company and should be completely illegal what they are trying to do.

Terrible app with no tenant support. The initial access token timed out before I used it. The app says it will resend, but it doesn't. I reached out to the management team, but they ignored me. Now I can't use any of the building facilities.

This is the worst application of this technology that I've seen. It attempts to resolve a non-existent issue (door access) and does so in such an inconvenient way by constantly requiring location data on your device, even when you're not in their buildings.

App no longer opens. It continues to crash upon launch even after uninstall and reinstall. A lot of unnecessary requirements. No one I've asked knows how to fix it or says there are any known issues yet the reviews on here say otherwise.

Unacceptable that it requires always on location tracking to use the feature to unlock the door to amenety spaces. The Aspen Rep stated this was for security purposes. At best the requirement is due to poor design. At worst, Aspen is monetizing the location data of its tenants. Stay away from this app.

Absolutely horrendous app. Why do I need to use my phone to enter amenities when I already carry a key card to access my office? The use of always on location permission is completely unacceptable. App will not close, even when exited and drains battery requiring force close after each use. Just brutal.
