July 2018 WARNING:
Android OS has a possible bug. When you shut down your phone and do a fresh power on, the phone will need a few minutes to get its GPS location. Any App that makes use of GPS is affected by this bug. The only App that is able to get your GPS location quickly after a cold reboot is the Google Maps App. If you do perform a cold reboot, you will need a few minutes for the phone to set up its GPS location for Apps that use the phone's GPS data. If you did not perform a cold reboot, then the App should not have trouble getting GPS data from the phone's built-in GPS system.

The location is not accurate. If I use this app to get help I'm screwed. This app will send all first responders to my neighbor's and put my safety at risk. It's useless. It's not my phone causing the GPS problem. The maps app on my has no problem pin pointing the correct location. This app uses the same maps as the real estate websites. They have the same results. Either way this app is useless in a crisis. I will call 911 the old fashioned way to make sure they find me before it's too late.

Hope it works well with my data on a real emergency !! Very sleek and nice app. Thanks ! Also - I wasn't able to setup an emergency contact - my first one - I google but all links now say ICE has been removed ? Thanks for the fast response! That fixed it...thanks ! Made it 5 star. UPDATE - this app made a fake SOS call yesterday to emergency contact and all hell broke loose. It also would not let me change my #. Downgraded and uninstalling. UPDATE - Their support was very responsive - will try again - upping it to 4star just for the responsiveness.

This app looked very promising and, after verifying my county uses text 911, I installed it. The setup is straightforward and easy to use. When I got to adding my contacts, I was only able to add one person. You can add more with the pro version (oh great!). When I checked the price on the pro version, it was only .99! Awesome! I'll be buying the pro version NOW. Just found out the pro version is on the Play Pass Family Plan! You guys rock! 🤘

As a 911 operator and police dispatcher, please Inform those that download this that most departments do not have text 911, it's in its infancy and only being used in a small number of departments. We also dont get a list of meds or medical problems. GPS is also known to be inaccurate more than not. It shows in the general area of, which can be a 1 block radius or several miles. The only way to accurately get a loc is they the phone carrier, which can only be done by law enforcement and cell companies have strict criteria to allow it. I work in a large city and we have no way of receiving a help request from any app. The most reliable and fastest way to get help is to call 911. If someone sent this hoping to get help in our dept, it would never come as we wld be unaware of it. Maybe a good way to keep in touch with family and friends.

See my original poor review below. I was immediately contacted by the vendor who was very helpful and worked through the issues with me and now the app works as expected. Welll done. The problem was a result of the Android 9 update. App will not run on Google pixel XL with latest Android update. It did work prior to the update. Tried to uninstall and reinstall but still not working

It was very helpful. 5 out of 5 stars from me. I just used this some hours ago because a friend of mine kept on constantly calling my other phone. So he left me no choice but to text the 911 dispatchers at the Abilene Police Department. And they helped me out with my situation. The person that I texted the Abilene Police Department 911 dispatcher about is one of my friend's boyfriend. So if he calls me again, then I can always call the 911 dispatcher and get harassment charges against him. 🤘on.

i have had the app for maybe eight hours and while i was sleeping it texted all my emergency contacts that i was in distress, and the cops woke me up this morning. I have no evidence on my end that a text was sent out! how did this happen? from me lying on my phone asleep on the lock screen? i wish there was at least evidence in my texts that this happened. 2 stars instead of 1 because it clearly got the police here like intended.

I couldn't figure out how to sms. But I did get help when I needed it so 5 stars. But you really should have a sms function like the app says 911helpSMS. Can't always call after all sometimes you don't want anyone to hear you.
