I am not a fan of the fact that I am required to have network access and occasionally forced to sign in again, which makes it not worth using the ebook and more worth lugging around the massive textbooks. Highlighting tends to be annoying since it will start highlighting, and then it suddenly highlights to the top of the page.

It doesn't matter if I use the app or website. Trying to use my textbook is a frustrating experience. It keeps logging me out due to inactivity. I am not inactive. I am reading or writing a paper and using the book as a reference. Both require sitting on one page for a while, and apparently, Cengage developers did not take that into consideration. And it's not as simple as just logging back in b/c every time it happens, my book is gone until I completely reboot my browser or app.

I... really wish I wasn't forced to go on here. It glitches and has issues with the aloud reading (useful when I'm busy). Thought it'd be what I needed since the other app glitched horribly with reading aloud (edit: primarily with tablets and mobile device). Well..Given the option for online reading...I chose it after trying this..but then it shows me nothing when I choose it. Not mad, cause I'll find a way..but I'm just frustrated.

It's okay(somewhat) until there is a part in a book that is formated differently from the rest of the text, so it cuts off what can't fit even if I use landscape. There is no zooming out

The highlighter tool within the app is nearly impossible to use. Many students in these reviews have said the same thing, which is reflected in this app's low 1.6 rating. Please try to implement a better mechanism that will provide a smoother user experience for us. We're already under enough stress having to get through these long chapters. Spending half our time trying (and failing) to highlight key information is cruel and unusual punishment. Please listen to us and fix this, please... *cry*

Doesn't stay logged in, highlighting is terrible, doesn't allow true downloads due to log in issue. Bearly usable. Would give a 0 if the store allowed. Customer service is terrible, very slow at responding to tickets.

I'd give it a zero if I could. I've used the app before but recently it's been giving me major issues: like not presenting my e-books. For whatever reason I can read them on the website but not the app- to which the website doesn't even display page numbers. We're in 2024 dealing with e-books, get it together people🤦🏻‍♀️ *Bookshelf is top tier if anyone is needing an alternative book app/website👌🏼

Glad that textbooks are available digitally. Unfortunate that the narration and navigation of these things are still but mediocre. They charge way too much for these books to not function properly 🙄🙄
