Doesn't keep temperature and takes forever to load. I'll set to 65F and it'll turn off at 67F. Then I'll set it to 70F and it'll kick back on at 66F. Scheduling is absurd. Opening the app (even if recently opened) results in 30+ seconds of waiting. Might as well stand up or set by hand. I'm glad there's an app, but that's about all the nice things I have to say.

It's 2024 & I am adding two stars to my previous year raging!! The App is improved, more stable & easier to set up 🙂 thanks. I will update if something change. --- Update: had to reduce starts! It's not consistent or reliable! I was out & turned the AC on, made sure that it shows it's on but, when I came home the AC was off. Turned it on manually, the WIFI was still connected but the App didn't turn it on.

This app has always been difficult. I open it this summer for my AC and see everything has changed, my AC has been deleted again, and there is no option to add device with QR code which is the only way mine ever works.... new add device options will not work with my AC window unit anymore. App is useless, and the AC doesn't have buttons to control everything so my AC is now half useless. Cool.

I like the convenience of being able to remote control the A/C. what I don't like is how the app requires location, storage, and photos. My air-conditioner isn't going to move anywhere so why do you need my location? What are you storing on my phone? Picture made sense the first time, because I needed the camera to scan the qr code. but why does it need to be enabled all the time?

Not as beat as some say here but there is issues! After I got a new router I noticed the a/c connected a lot better before I had to go and re do the entire installation every couple days since I switched routers it's been perfect and it's been 2 months so if you're having problems make sure your router firmware is updated. Taking 3 stars away because in 2021 there is no excuse that I cannot hook this up too Google home Danby doesn't even have a account in Google home to link it to!

cools living room nicely. Downloaded the app and can control it with my phone easily, but the remote that came with it doesn't seem to work. It can turn the display off and on but that is all. Also the extra wide hose doesn't fit when using horizontally sliding windows without making an extra spacer, unless the inside of your window is flush with the inside wall.

Used this app with my Danby window air conditioner and with the ability to create schedules, make a "favorite" setting and control the unit from anywhere, I'd rate it at least 4 stars. That lasted about two weeks. Now the app crashes the moment I try to open it. I've sent many reports to the developer with no response and reading the negative reviews it doesn't look like the developer is even paying attention. Since I can't even open the app any more I'd give it ZERO stars if that were an option

Helped by customer support.... Finally got new portable AC unit living up to the older Danby window units I love. Basic troubleshooting was not enough in my case, WiFi router settings are pretty specific but they helped me sort it out 😁 The sliding door attachments for the dual hose portable AC could use some redesign but I made it work eventually. But once it's all sorted they're really good units.
