Nepenthes are perhaps the most fascinating and specialised carnivorous plants on planet Earth.

Nepy is a Nepenthes field reference, containing fully illustrated entries for the majority of recognised species that include:

- two representative pitcher photographs for each species
- a description that includes guidance on pronunciation, species distribution, range, elevation and additional field notes
- a simple picture quiz to help you learn to identify them
- no in-app banners or ads

The Nepenthes entries based primarily on data published in peer reviewed research papers, specialist literature relating to the genus, as well as on the general observations of a number of specialists. However, all entries are written in accessible English.

The should be more apps like this. It has a ton of nepenthes species to study with the images of the upper and lower pitchers. Even a quiz. It would be nice if there was a category for some interesting hybrids.. but it is a lot of work.. there are so many.

Amazing app with almost all required species. Edit : An option to filter species based on elevation would be helpful. Also, some newer species are missing. The app needs an update

Fantastic app! As a Nepenthes hobbyist, I use it almost daily. Only issue now is from the latest Android update, the text page (third page) no longer displays anything. It's just a blank page. Update: works fine now with latest Android, so five stars!

Very useful. Missing one or two species. Would be interesting if it added variations ie for alata, apparently there is alata giant and mirabilis can vary by region. But very cool

Nice and handy app! A real resource! I noticed a few things that could be corrected/improved regarding the IPA transcription.

Great information and photos. Used it a lot in my early career of growing carnivorous plants.

Great app but is missing a few species hence my 4 star rating. Very informative though.
