The "Epirus4Tin" application was used to analyze and calculate the percentage of tin contained in the sample taken from the smart device.
Users select a picture or take a photo directly from the camera of their device. The application prompts users to select the area of the picture to be analyzed.
At the next step, the application calculates the average color for each pixel in the sample. Once the average color is calculated, the application computes and displays the nearest tin percentage, using a data set and the Euclidean distance formula.
The application also displays the hexadecimal color that is produced as well as its rgb color values.
In addition, users can save the generated color, locally in the phone memory. They can also, store information about the hexadecimal value, the delta red, delta green and the delta blue. Furthermore, it is possible to define notes and their location.
Afterwards, the application maintains a history of saved colors. The data can be shared or imported/exported to csv file for further analysis.
