PROJECT STATUS (Pinboard)
As of October of 2019 Pinkt can offer everything that the Pinboard API officially supports. It will continue to be maintained and updated to support the latest Android technologies since this is a personal sandbox, but it is limited in regards to what it can offer without official support from the Pinboard API, which hasn't been actively maintained from what it seems.
Some examples of what I'm currently unable to offer are Bulk Edit and better pagination support for people with a massive amount of bookmarks saved without compromising the filtering capabilities that Pinkt currently offers.
Even though updates will be less frequent, please don't hesitate to reach out if you have an idea or a feature request as I'm always keen to improve the experience for my users.
---------------
PROJECT STATUS (Linkding)
Version 3.0 introduced initial support for Linkding. Most features are already supported and the app will be actively maintained to add what's missing. With the initial release one missing feature that's worth highlighting is supported for archived bookmarks, which still can't be listed or managed via the app.

works very well. features that would be good. when in a browser and I share to pinky, no matter how often I use it, i have to scroll all the way to the right and click the ellipse to get a sub list of apps. second would be if it detects if the link being bookmarked is already bookmarked and pull up the info. other from that can't complain, works well

Great with linkding, but...the search/filter function doesn't work with Chinese

I failed to login. "Oops something went wrong" was not helpful in diagnosing the problem. I'm a new pinboard user. I have no idea if the problem is client side or server side .. Update: it looks like it's a server-side issue then. Thanks for the super fast reply and for the coming update. I hope I will soon want to update my review to five stars ...

I'm amending my prior review, which was written in a fit of pique. This is a good app, and probably the best pinboard app. I do deeply hope they make one change, though: if you're entering a bookmark with a long description (which I use to remember why a bookmark was interesting) and then the screen rotates, all of your work in progress is lost. I would love if it saved draft copies of bookmarks, like Gmail, or at least kept your work when the screen rotates!

Up until today I was using PinDroid, but this is much better. Nice simple UI, especially dark mode. Does all the things you'd expect. It seems to have successfully fetched all 42k of my bookmarks and is uploading new bookmarks properly. Search is also surprisingly snappy. I appreciate that the app tries to grab description data from sites. One small issue with adding private tags, which might just be me and I will email about.

this is a great way to keep my bookmarks accessible all in one place. I always liked del.icio.us for this long ago ... then it went away and I had nothing to use for so long except browser bookmarks (that never seemed to be on the browser I was on, probably user error)... now I don't have to worry about that happening again!

Tidy interface with lots of display options and ways to search. It can be a tad slow loading, but I'm willing to blame the API or my thousands of bookmarks for that. Makes it easy to save links with the share function, and when a recent update borked this feature the developer promptly released a fix.

Among the Android apps for Pinboard offers Pinkt the most comprehensive functionality and is regularly developed further by a responsive project maintainer. Among the desired features I wish from Pinkt in the future are: 1. Show 'Network' 2. Renaming tags 3. Quoting: Text marked in the browser of a to-be-bookmarked page are automatically taken over into the 'Description' section and set into angle brackets. Thank you Filipe Belatti for freely sharing your great work ♥️
