I've been using the basic free version for past 4 months about. Very simple to use, log, and update nutritional information. Using the app allowed me to easily pursue my weight loss goals. I've lost 40lbs so far, still another 40 to go. Previous update messed up the "done logging" function. Support gave me temporary premium to continue using the log function as it seemed ads was incorrectly blocking the function. I don't like the idea of paying a subscription, and the basic features is perfect.

Updated 10.13.24: So doubling down on the intrusive ads, the "done logging" feature of the app only works after you have been fed and ad. This means that if you log all day getting ads and then open the app just to say you are done, you cannot save this interaction. Terrible. 0 stars if I could I do not mind ads in an app, but they have gotten very intrusive lately popping up right where you are going to click. Needless to say, that is not good design and only makes me think of uninstalling.

I've been using this app for over a year now and never have had issues until recently. After I'm done logging my days intake it will not let me click the done logging toggle to complete the day. Only after it gives me an ad will it work but I'm not getting any ads which is weird. Hope they fix this issue that seems to be happening to quite a bit of people.

This app works extremely well for keeping on track with my weight loss goal. It's easy to use and has a robust catalog of foods in the search tool. My one "complaint" is regarding the feature of having extea calories budgeted to certain days of the week. I feel that the extra calories would be more useful if they had a separate tracker. For example, if I want to alot myself 700 floating calories to use on any given week I could apply those to the "extra bucket" on any given day that works best.

This was my favorite app for years, but lately there have been issues trying to record my meals. In particular, on the lock screen, the screen flashes and won't let me enter directly or edit my meals. I have to enter food from a widget instead. This makes it really hard to consistently enter my food!

Got the premium. Works well, except they ask you for a review every few weeks and you get the prompt EVERY time you go into the app, even if you respond. Of course, they ask for a rating and not feedback. I've answered 6 times today to get rid of the notification. 3 stars the first time, annoyed at having to answer, and 1 star every time after.

I used to use this app a while back, and it was great. Going back to it, it's awful! Constant tutorial popups, constant ads, it's a pain and an obstacle to using the app to track my foods. The way to get people to sign up for premium is to make premium better, not to make the app unusable without it.

I feel like the app's layout confused me when I ended up pressing "yes" on an option to use/upgrade to the trial/premium version. That said, the holistic approach & the questions & focus on the mindset & emotions that accompany this journey are greatly appreciated. I spend more than $40 on food sometimes, so spending that much on this app for the year to improve my eating habits is worth it. I'm on day 3 of using it & I'm finding it valuable & worth the $.
