Gallagher Mobile Connect lets you use the Bluetooth® Low Energy technology in your Android device to gain access to secure areas on your site and interact with your building systems.
Push Notifications allow you to receive instant updates about important events.
With Digital ID in Gallagher Command Centre 8.40 you can now display your ID cards within the Mobile Connect App

Usage tips:
Battery Optimisation: Some phones will shut down the Gallagher Mobile Connect app for Battery Optimisation. If you wish to use background access, we recommend disabling optimisation for the Mobile Connect App. Battery Optimisation is found under your Android phone Settings.

NFC: NFC uses a lot less battery and is generally faster and more reliable than Bluetooth, however it is still affected by Battery Optimisation. If you do use NFC, we recommend changing Bluetooth Background Access to ‘No Background Bluetooth’. This setting is found under Settings, found by clicking on the Cogs in the top right of the App.

Background Bluetooth: Bluetooth while less reliable and slower than NFC, it has range advantages. NFC’s range is centimeters, BLE can be configured to up to 100 meters (based on the Gallagher T Series readers configuration in Gallagher Command Centre). Configure the background settings under the ‘Bluetooth Background Access’ to the option that works best for your device, the hint text on this screen will guide you through the different modes.

Access Tab: This screen lists all the Readers that are in Bluetooth range of your phone. Generally, you should not need to click on the reader’s name to gain access, however in some cases when the ‘Auto connect’ range does not work for your device, it is quicker just to tap the reader’s name to start a ‘Manual connect’ access attempt. Ask your site administrator about the T Series readers connection range if ‘Auto Connect’ range needs adjusting.

Actions Button: The Actions button is used for special actions configured in Gallagher Command Centre Server. Examples: Turning on and off lights, turning on and off air-conditioning, or disarming and arming alarm zones.

For more usage tips see examples under Help in the App.

Requires an authorized access credential, Command Centre v7.60 or greater, and Bluetooth® low energy equipped Gallagher multi-tech access readers. NFC can also be used with all Gallagher T series readers.

Note: Bluetooth® Low Energy uses Location to discover the Gallagher readers. You can switch off Bluetooth® and Location and use NFC for Access, however NFC will need to be enabled on the Gallagher readers.
Bluetooth® Background scanning can be disabled on the settings screen

Terrible experience on Android. The company I work for moved to a building that requires this app to enter. It's a painful process. It's slow to detect the doors. I need to explicitly open them with a click because the proximity doesn't seem to work. Nobody on the building can figure out why. The support doesn't seem to exist on their site (a big marketing piece with nothing useful for users). If you are thinking about using it RUN AWAY FROM IT!

Not so great for now, used to work. I accidentally unistaled the app and reinstalled it the same day. No way to log back in bcz the email "credential" is not validating as there's no invitation... I guess i would have to go through the office again and ask for a new invitation just to be able to validate the credentials for the app that I've already payed for and had working. Can't do it as it's weekend. Can't enter the market for a stock pickup, Both client and me loosing $ bcz of this...

It's... Fine but could be so much better. UX is pretty horrible and disregards one handed use entirely for whatever reason. The gates do take a while to open but it's enough to get by. The setup experience is honestly poor and lacks any direction as to what's going on. The app generally just feels like the bare minimum as far as functionality goes so it's only getting a few stars from me.

Does what it says, but does it poorly. Airlocks require waiting 15 to 25 seconds for the app to realise there is another door and you're not wanting to go back through the door you just did. When you use that airlock 10 to 30 times a day it becomes very tedious very quickly. Edit: Thank you for the response. NFC is enabled, it just takes that time for the app to "refresh" its view from the previous access point to showing both of them when holding phone near it.

The background tech seems to work reasonably well, but the UX is very poor. We use it at our estate's access gate, so should be usable when driving. There is too much small text on screen. The extent of the clickable areas on screen are unclear and very small. Why not just one large button to hit to open the gate you are approaching?

The app is ok, it works. But now I have no idea how to migrate this to another phone, the phone I have right now is breaking down... Is there a way to copy paste the keys? Also is there a way to copy paste the required files onto my new phone?

Hi. It takes too long to open a door. It's a 2 step process. Max one step is needed. Also make the options or buttons much larger so that you don't have to use precision finger movements. It's annoying every time I have to enter or exit the boom gates. Also the scan for access and stop scanning button should be the same large button.

Hi developers, please keep improving it... feedback: 1. When I was first installing after I accepted the bluetooth permission, it automatically continued without giving me the option of selecting the NFC option. The NFC permission.. the option only became available after a few days .. thats great 2. When using bluetooth... the action and unlock buttons are miles apart on the screen.. u have to do this while stretched out one handed reaching for the bluetooth reader.. else lose connection
