Looking for a better alternative to Android default application drawer? Need a handy application manager? Have hundreds of applications that need to be organized and managed? Do you want to backup and restore third part application packages. Try out Glextor App Manager. It is one of the best and full-featured app manager and organizer for Android!App organizer
Organize your applications with auto-grouping to folders feature which is based on Google Play categories. Newly installed applications can be categorized automatically. If you want to get more personalized structure, create your own folders or just rename predefined ones. It is possible to assign each application to several groups at the same time according to your needs. Use system folders to get quick access to most used, last used, or last installed apps.
Group shortcuts & widgets
Now you don’t need to have dozens of shortcuts on your desktop. Use group desktop shortcuts and widgets to put your desktop in order.
Interface customization
Glextor AppManager has very flexible user interface. You can change the layout, icons, sorting, themes, customize menus and much more according to your taste and needs.
Application Repository with app market bookmarks and package backups (packages backup doesn't work well with all applications)
You have own Repository of applications where you can save applications as Market links or backup their packages (APK) with ability to install packages from backup later. To install application packages from backup you have to accept installation app packages permission for Glextor App Manager. Also you can share application packages using Android file sharing feature.
You can add applications to Repository from Google Play page (use Share there with Glextor App Manager as a target).
Favorites
Mark applications as favorites to find them easily. Your favorite apps are always placed at the beginning when app list is sorted by name. Use filters to see only favorites. Use system group Favorites to access all your favorite applications inside one folder.
Configuration export
There is no need to customize Glextor AppManager and organize installed apps on your new Android from the scratch. Just backup preferred configuration and restore it on a new system in one click.

Easy and intuitive. Does a great job organizing. Minor downside is you can put each app in only one folder rather than multiple ones. Oh well. We'll worth the time to look over. It's a keeper. 12/26/2018 ADDENDUM: Since writing the above review I have tried a few more apps of this kind (8-9 apps over the past several years) thinking they would come closer to what I wanted. They didn't. They were more cumbersome and didn't live up to the hype. For me, the search is over.

I figured out this app without any problems and made my backups and everything else the app allows but then the next time I opened the app all it wants to do is either freeze up or NOT complete the task I'm trying to do. I almost paid for the app after seeing it work great in the beginning but I'm glad I waited.

I have been using the app for a few weeks and bought the pro version for the additional features like custom icons and subfolders. I appreciate the automatic sorting which is sadly limited by the correct (or incorrect) categorization of the apps in the play Store. I use it with KWGT to make app folder widgets. It does everything I need it to do.

Once I worked out how to use it, it is useful, but it needs better documentation. To add an app to a group you long press on the app, then a dialog menu appears at the bottom of the screen. At first this is hidden by a pop asking you to pay for the full version. Once that goes away, after about a day it is useful. I disovered a lot of apps I didn't know I had and am now using because I have them sorted in a rational fashion in multiple thematic groups with sensible icons.

Giving an ad every time you launch something which quickly gets irritating. I don't mind ads, but this amount is surely in the way of the app's basic functionality. Aside from that, I'm not sure I want to support an app which created it's business model on being irritating. My choice is to look elsewhere for similar functionality.

There's some weird behavior. Unable to sort the whole repository OR to view app's groups same like on "Apps" window search. There's a limit of 5 groups for each app, if you add the 6th group it deletes one of the older groups randomly. The whole groups/tags method are potentially very useful but very messy and uncomfortable in reality. Unable to create more than one shortcut per app; previous review for this problem left unanswered, developers do not seem to care about bug fix/costumer service.

Disappointing, clunky knockoff of AutoAppOrganizer. And BUST ON OREO re: shortcuts. (SAME sitch as as all other apps, with OREO!!) Not developer's fault!! Oreo is horribly programmed so as NOT to accept folders/sub-folders shortcuts from ANY app organizer. UNINSTALLING. Wish I could regress back to Nougat. Checking with my carrier, Verizon, to make it so.

Looks promising, but didn't bother spending the time to set it up due to its extreme lagginess and the lack of a feature I find very useful. Email to dev regarding these issues has gone unanswered and no responses to reviews, neither of which are something I like to see for a paid app; therefore, I don't have any faith the app will become better, and I'll be looking into using Jina instead, which has a much more responsive dev and is a smoother, more polished app.
