Had the recent issue where all apps stopped working that used webview. I took the standard update the next day, which was better, but still had issues. For instance, if I was in gmail, the last email content would overlay the email listings partially, blocking all navigation. I had to close the app and reopen to proceed. This beta version seems to work better. No issues so far.

This install works when the standard latest webview won't install. The problem is some services still won't work properly. It only works because it allows you to use the last version that worked on your phone and for me that is well over a year old. My phone works with version 80 and the latest version is in the 90's already. I'm using samsung galaxy s10+ My phone was still new when this stopped working.

Having ongoing issues with all versions - prod, beta of this app working for a few hours, then various unrelated apps stop opening or crash report - discord, play store, google app, chrome, camera. Reboot, works for an hour or less, then happens again. Also signs out of apps like Facebook, Playstation, and forgets all of my saved wifi logins. Sometimes just goes to a Samsung screen and I have to uninstall or disable webview and boot into safe mode. Been happening since I upgraded to Android 12.

Won't update with only 1GB free storage 🤦‍♂️ Installed, hit its dev button, picked beta, restarted phone, shows active, YouTube still works. P.s. please dev's don't make me update it unless there is a security problem with it. Please a count of the days since you updated the chrome major version#

The application lives it's own life. Since the latest update, will not let me switch from standard web view provider on my Android 10 phone.

Horrible, issues still remains & apps still crashes because of it..

Didn't fix the problem. Selected it as default, uninstalled previous version, restarted phone multiple times, and permutations thereof. Can't get through a full song or article. Crash bang boom. Every time. Better type this review quickly! I don't want to give Apple my money, but what is the alternative? A phone that I can't use apps on??! Where is the proactive customer communication?

Until we hear a comment from Google about the notorious freezing of Webview on Android 10 devices, even just an acknowledgement that the issue exists and it's being looked into, this gets 1 star from me. Frequent freezing on my OnePlus (about once every 5 minutes, I get 2 on average during a 10 minute video) makes this completely unusable. Hopefully this 1 star review will help to raise awareness of the issue and drives Google to comment on it. Until it is fixed I am forced to use Firefox only.
