This app has multiple books that are not listed at my library. I love the variety! I enjoy listening as I walk, commute, etc. My one complaint is that sometimes when I reopen a book, the app will either go back to the beginning or to an earlier point from where I left off. This is particularly frustrating when I'm driving. I have tried marking a bookmark every time I stop listening, and that seems to help.

Works fine for ebooks, but audiobooks are fairly buggy. Sometimes you have to close and reopen the book to get it to play. I've found it impossible to watch a movie or show. Everytime I open one I just get "Something went wrong. Try again later." I end up not using the app often because I have other apps for books. I want Hoopla for the PBS shows, but it's very frustrating that they never play.

Excellent for my audiobooks! I have two local libraries nearby, and both allow different amounts, for example, one allowed 8 instant streams to be borrowed each month, one allowed 12. So if you've exhausted your limits, remember to try another local library! It's not the best app. It doesn't have many settings, it doesn't auto resume playing in my car when connected to Bluetooth. It occasionally stops for seamingly no reason. But it's very much worth it!

On the plus side, a single app will allow you to borrow ebooks, audiobooks, music, &/or videos. On the negative side, the app doesn't bookmark one's place very well in audiobooks (especially when switching airplane mode off & on), and the search function is terrible if one wants to browse. As to the latter, it'd be nice if there were categories and subcategories (for example, nonfiction... history... world history).

App often closes mid stream for no apparent reason. Does not pair well with Bluetooth earphones, and about every other book I listen to, it will start the book from the beginning. App closes down after only 30 or so seconds of inactivity, so if I have to pause (through my headphones) If I don't immediately press play, it will shut the app down. Selection is decent, and love that it's all free with my library card... just has some bugs to work out.

I have only used it to read, but it's worked wonderfully for that! I've never had any of the problems others have mentioned with the app and my library allows many check-outs (thanks EVPL!) from a ton of content. I just wish it would show the next book in a series as a 'recommendation' at the end of a book in a series, instead of the same recommendations it gives me in the home screen. Not a huge deal to back out of the book and go to the authors page, but it would sure be convenient.

I love the large number of books available, both new and old. There seems to have been a recent update to their software that wasn't tested nearly enough because there are a lot of glitches in everyday use. Also I hate the fact that they have daily limits by library, sometimes when you pick out a book, it says try again tomorrow! Also, there are personal monthly limits, so if you're a avid reader, sometime before the end of the month you are going to be told no more books till next month!

Terrible search options. If you can actually find the book you're looking for through the search. Kudos to you. The filter options should have things like author or title. But they do not. I am rarely able to find a search by author. When I enter it in. The search results tend to be random. When I find a book I am looking for, Great, but that is not often. Please improve the search functionality. I really miss Overdrive.
