Use the App to remotely:

- Plan future journeys and sync with your vehicle*
- Connect your favorite music and lifestyle applications to your InControl account for use in vehicle.*
For vehicles with InControl Remote Premium, the following additional features are available:
- Check on your vehicle security status and lock/unlock your vehicle if required
- Cool or heat your vehicle to the desired temperature prior to your journey*
- Locate your vehicle in a crowded car park with 'beep and flash' functionality.

Download the Land Rover InControl Remote App and then log in using your Land Rover InControl username and password to connect to your vehicle. This App requires subscription to one of the following packages fitted to the vehicle:
- InControl Protect
- InControl Remote
- InControl Remote Premium.

App Malfunction! Initially it was working just fine. Suddenly, no matter what I did I couldn't open the app to start my car remotely. Even after restarting my phone the app still wouldn't work. I had to uninstall and install again. Even so it is still not working. The app keeps stopping. Today is Sept 22, 2024 & I'm still not able to access the app. When will this bug be fixed. Am I the only one experiencing this app failure. When it was working it was wonderful. Now, I'd like to give it a zero.

Horrible app. Have only successfully logged in 2 or 3 times out of 20 attempts. Resetting PW doesn't help. Today I'm getting a "Generic Error" (yes thats what it tells me) message after I successfully log in. Not helpful. Lately it tells me the windows are open, when they aren't. App needs some serious rework. This is my 4th Rover, but 1st vehicle with this remote app technology. It's really not worth the time and energy to attempt to figure out why its not working.

Weirdly enough, the app works perfectly with my wifes disco sport. However, the same issue as the other reviewer here, the app stopped working randomly out of nowhere when the local JLR made a recall update, N188, that now the app doesn't work at all to the point that JLR America CSR doesn't see my 17 discovery presence on their system. The CSR mentioned my infotainment software version was old and a new one is out but it doesn't update via Wifi for some reason. Now I have to go back the dealer

UPDATE.....8/1/24....It appears all the bugs have been worked out...all of the functions are working consistently and quickly....I have not updated the software since 6/19/24...There was a new update to the app on 6/19/24.....Nothing is fixed ......The most recent update ruined the app. I have never had an issue with it for three years ......now it does not communicate with the car. Agreed not worth the money.... Time for a zero star rating.

Don't buy a Land Rover... this app needs a lot of work!! Too many errors. Says "driving" when parked and locked in driveway. Says "in use" when it is not. You have to leave your phone unlocked and open while you wait for it to start which may take multiple attempts or not work at all. It is very limited what you are able to do in the app. My base model Subaru has way more capability in the app plus, as a bonus, it works... every time! Very disappointing. Also the developers ignore communication

I keep being an idiot and repurchasing this app as they promise updates and fixes. Out of 3 years, I've attempted to use the remote start appx 100 time with a success of about 20 starts. I tried to report this through app feedback and support and my messages failed! Always getting errors stating car is unlocked, a window is down, or that the vehicle was inactive for too long... none of which have ever been the case. Garbage. I'm super disappointed over and over.

Everything works on the app but the the climate start. Hasn't worked since I got the Range Rover and downloaded the app. It errors out everytime. All other functions work. Things that I think need to be added is routes planning. Stupid to have a separate app for that. Would also be nice of you could turn seat heaters on too. Mostly I just want the climate start to work. Update. Took it to the dealership and they got everything fixed. There was a miss communication between the app and the vehicle

When it comes to configuring the apps to link with your Land Rover car it is simple and easy to do. Navigating through the apps is easy to learn. However if you are short one FOB you cannot use this apps to be a substitute! Also I discovered I cannot register additional users! I have tried to get tech support help on this issue but I am still waiting.
