Well balanced rotating machine is one of the important factor to make sure it running for a long period in good condition. This app was created to ease the calculation when performing balancing job at site.There are many methods have been developed that can be used. All method involved complex calculation.
Common balancing methods
1. 4 Run Balancing
This method used when phase readings are not available. Machine need to be run 4 times to get vibration readings in order to calculate the best location to balance the rotor. This method only can be used for single plane only.
2. Phase balancing
If rotating phase is available then balancing can be done for many planes. For single plane balancing using phase, vector polar plot can be used to manually calculate the result. For two planes and more, specific balancer calculator or spreadsheet is necessary as the calculation will be complicated.
3. Overhung balancing
Overhung machine balancing involve two planes with special calculation.
There are other more methods out there.
