My fiancee is Filipino and she has 2 children. I'm American and I plan on moving there to get married and adopt the kids as my own and this app is great for helping me to learn the language. I love this app. I have never tried to learn any foreign language in my life but I truly believe I can learn Tagalog with this app.

Seems rather complete. However, we can play all items, or play one item slow, but we can I play all items slow with one tap. Also, when we touch an item, its background becomes darker, which just makes it harder to read! Also if you want to hear an item slow, you must hear it fast first. One cannot directly just hear it slow.

So, this app seems to have potential, but unfortunately there are many errors. For one, the audio doesn't usually match with the dialogue when it's supposed to. Secondly, it does not explain how conjugations work. Rather, it just tells you sentences related to the word. It's rather confusing to someone who has little to no understanding of the languages related to Tagalog.

Criticisms: Some of the audio does not always match the text. Some of the sentence examples do not use the same dictionary word; it would be very helpful if the root word in the sentences was in bold font to help a new learner find out how it's used. It might also help if the other words in the sentences show their literal definitions. The spelling tests are sometimes hard because letter "i" and letter "L" look the same. Praise: I LOVE the menu selection, and the word of the hour reminders.

Awesome resource of so much vocabulary! The audio is great quality and there are many quizzes you can do to help memorize vocabulary. One suggestion: there is a punctuation issue when it comes to doing the quizzes in "Greeting". When doing the Listening quiz, the wrong answers have the period at the end removed, while the correct answer keeps it, making it too easy. The Writing quiz also shouldn't need a period unless you're writing a full sentence. Other than that, awesome app!

So far so good. Just started using this app as my wife is a native speaker and I tested it out on her by reading random words and sayings which proved to be correct in the way they are spelt and pronounced. Structure of app is nice and very user friendly. One thing I would like to see are how the words can be spoken/used in sentences but a great app!!.....ads not to intrusive

One of the best free tagalog apps with reasonable amount of ads. Categories that break out the words/subjects making it easy to focus on a set. Lots of vocabulary with native speakers pronouncing the words and sentences to provide context to the vocabulary you're learning. You can even quiz yourself on the vocabulary too! Only thing that would make this app better is pictures with the words for better memorization!

Outstanding app. Free and easy to learn tagalog. Best app i have used to learn tagalog. Simple layout, solid examples, and plenty of words to get you familiar with the language. A solid amount of phrases and a great selection of categories to learn from.
