Edit: I've now given this 5 stars. I bought the pro version and now I can do multiple 5 minute lessons each day. The 5 minute timer lets me break up different lessons nicely. Drops has become my preference for learning new words. Great companion to Duolingo. - Overall, I think it's a good app and nicely designed, but it didn't work with my learning style. I like to take time to go over stuff when learning things. Because the app limits you to 5 minutes a day, it felt very rushed, 2 stars.

You won't learn to speak a language with drops only Drops, it's for vocabulary and is fantastic when used in tandem with Duolingo Very nicely designed and visualy appealing. Unfortunately it seems poorly optimised. Takes ages to load, often laggy or un reasponsinve. When I had this app months ago this was not the case, maybe it came with an update that happened before I re installed it, or maybe its just my phone. Its a very good app, get it and hopefully it won't lag for you.

So far it's just a vocabulary building exercise. But damn I never imagined a vocabulary builder could be this good! It's ridiculously intuitive. You dont just associate foreign words with native words, hell you don't even associate words with just images. They go all out and give you animations! I'm not very far in the app yet, so I dont know if it helps with grammar/sentence structures... but if it does, I'm very interested in how they approach it!

Ive tried to learn languages a lot. A combination of Drops and Duolingo is the only way I have managed to stay motivated and consistent with my practice. I have used Drops for Korean and Esperanto now -- Drops is super helpful for vocabulary. Intuitive controls, and instead of translating directly to/from English, you associate the Esperanto word with its MEANING, not its English equivalent.

Good and simple 👍 Excellent app, however, some Esperanto words, particularly some colours, have different pronunciations than the written word themselves! I rejected them to learn. Developers please! The sounds of two pages were overlaping when I was doing "Talking about time". The statements were long. There should be one seconds of interval at least. Thanks.

Overly aggressive monetization and bad lag makes the experience poor when its design, if responsive and without constant prompts to go premium would have been good. Latest update now stops you from using the app after a session with a 10 hour wait time! Ridiculous. Uninstalled after a 40 day streak. The greed is for shame!

This is an awesome app, but the time limit is frustrating. There has to be a way to support it with ads or something else to decrease the limit. Since it isn't the only app (but is the only one with a time limit), I'm advancing in the language faster than the little bit I can do here can keep up.

Fun to use and I believe the format to be conducive to quick learning. But after learning ten words (and watching ad), I was unable to advance any further without payment. I can go farther in YouTube! Although it claimed progressing would only entail a seven-day free trial, one must give creditcard info to proceed,
