As both a tech person and language enthusiast, this is the app I wish I'd created for vocabulary. So many great things to talk about such as the daily dosage aspect with a displayed countdown, the spaced repetition, the ability to focus on Thai script instead of romanization once you're able to, the graphic/audio/word association, ect. Thank you!

Very confusing, especially when you get to the consonants. The audio is different than the words shown, and it's very difficult to tell which letter is which when they both have the same labeling. I believe there's a glitch in the coding because I will select an answer only to have a completely different answer appear on the screen. Please fix this!

I am an intermediate learner and this app is not only great for visual vocabulary review but also for auditory practice (which is the area that I struggle most). The different ways to interact with the language are very clever and productive and the amount of repetition is just right. It will get the language center of your brain firing and forming new synapses for sure!! :)

Overall, the Thai edition of Drops is a good language app. Because of the complexity of Thai, many apps like Duolingo don't offer it. However, major improvements need to be made. The drawings are very generic and need to be MUCH more detailed. The vocabulary sets sometimes provide unnecessary words like garlic peeler. The app doesn't teach you how to communicate in sentences and only provides vocab. The voice is very robotic and doesn't always emphasize tones. Spelling mistakes occur too much.

Pretty app. Useful as a basic flash card learning toool, but it's approach does not seem to be based on any intelligent approach to learning the language structure or vocab for that matter. Forces you to use their romanization instead of allowing full immersion with Thai only. Feel like someone thought they could just drop a database of language elements into an app and you would be able to learn a language from it. So many better approaches. Skip this one.

so far so good. only did it once. I hope l can learn phrases from it! ok so it's been about a week. I am learning but it seems only by visual prompting. so maybe som e mire pictures without words or vice versa will help to remember w/o picture prompting. also the showing of only characters was a surprise out if no where. need to learn the alphabet before those are thrown at us please.

i like it so why the one star? because the one thing that it lacks is likely the biggest pitfall of all. there are absolutely no indications of tone in the Roman spelling of the words, and the robot voice makes it hard to discern the tones as well. I expected a lot more for $40. like for 40$ can't the developers just add a ***** line on top of the a to be like this "á" ???

Exceptional App. Visuals are tremendously helpful for language learning and making connections. Trial version is actually good. It makes you wait 10 hours before you start again. It's proven by research to space your learning, cramming is never helpful. Regardless, developers of this app deserve their every penny.
