First, don't get me wrong, (the home) speakers are great, but the app is more than simple... I had a hard time connecting to the speaker after installation of the app. The app got apparently stuck, I installed it like 10 times... Turned out, that I had to turn on location on my phone and then it worked. Unfortunately the app didn't have the Equalizer I was hoping for, only thing you can really do ist switch between stereo and rooms. You can switch right and left speaker and see charging status.

We've had a Freeplay Home for a while and it worked well as a BT speaker (Android & iPhone). I recently installed the app after seeing screen shots implying there was an equalizer. The app can't find the speaker (says "Searching" forever), but will connect using your phone BT. However, there is no equalizer (just 2 headings : Bluetooth and About). The app version is 1.01 from 2023, a sign Mackie is not serious. I was going to get a 2nd one (stereo), but will probably switch to something else.

Firstly, the app is design poorly and it functionalities as well. The developer needs to go back and redesign and develop this app. The Demo and actual mode are two different things. I except a system where one can control volume of speaker via the app or link his or her media source through up. The app disconnects automatically without no reason.

First of all, I can't have the eq function on my MacBook from which i Bluetooth music because i cant download the app on it. Please make a Mac version. It us an IOS device after all.. Secondly it takes forever for the app to search for the FreePlay. When i check my phone messages and go back to the app running in the background, it restarts and searches again. It's frustrating to be unable to manually adjust the eq settings without using the app.

Annoying; states it can't find the speaker, even though it's connected for Bluetooth audio. It works sometimes, but most often it doesn't. Also, I wish the app had a battery level indicator for the amp? On another note, I love the Mackie amp, itself. But this app is not reliable.

This app is very poor, it says searching for speaker and then nothing. I then connected directly from my phone to the speaker via Bluetooth, with no issue. There is no point of having the app at all.

has a hard time finding the freeplay live. once I do get it to find the speaker it will crash and lose most top end volume do to the speaker built in presets. please either fix bugs or do a update that allows maximum volume without the app.

Doesn't work. Brand new phone. Pairs fine for audio, but not control Updated 2018. I guess mackie gave up on this product which is a shame because for the power price and weight, this ruins an otherwise great piece of hardware. -1000 for the software team. You guys ruined it
