When an incident happens, the dash cam will automatically save the file to the event folder and send footage to the MiVue™ Pro app via WIFI in real-time (WIFI video backup function won’t consume your 3G/4G data, it uses point-to-point transmission technology).

You can transmit the picture or video from Mio dash cam to your smartphone through Wi-Fi, and store the picture and video in the shared storage of smartphone.
When you open MiVue Pro app, you can review or delete the files which you’ve stored in smartphone via MiVue Pro directly.

Live View and video organizer
Click “Live View” to adjust horizontal level of the camera before installation. Videos will be categorized by date and type (Normal, Event or Parking mode folders).

Set up your dash cam through the MiVue™ Pro app
Change the settings and format the memory card of the dash cam directly through your smartphone.

WIFI OTA (Over-the-Air) update
Use your smartphone to download and update the firmware, speed camera data and voice versions without having to withdraw the memory card. (Downloading data will consume your 3G/4G data, the update settings may vary depending on the different dash cam models).

App was mostly ok to use at first but now it refuses to connect to my dashcam unless I give it access to my phone's location. It doesn't need to know this information to function at all, it's just shameless data harvesting.

The application is full of bugs and the customer service is totally useless, incompetent and rude. When I couldn't install the application on the ANDROID 12 navigation of the car (which has a 4g sim), the installation getting stuck in an infinite loop when giving up the full access right to the DCIM file, the customer service told me that I was insisting unnecessarily because the application ONLY works on PHONES. After i install on a tablet without sim service insist that I HAVE TO USE A PHONE!

truly a dreadful app, does not follow its own instructions. its easier to get a mini card reader to download video than use this.

Terrible piece of kit. Get the play and go front and back camera and save yourself the pain of this camera. For the price I expected quality. 1. WiFi super slow. 2. Footage grainy. 3. Difficult to install. 4. System turn itself off and on. 5. To download one three minute clip, expect a five to ten minute wait. 6. Silly piece for the kind of kit it is. Should be 100 to 150 for what it is. 7. There is no Q&A system and no way to contact the makers. Its a trading standards sort of quality.

The application does not work, after the last update, I think. I didn't try to connect the phone since several months ago. The camera can't be connected to the phone anymore. At the phone's connection menu appears "connected", but the application has "connecting" status. Then nothing. I've tried all the recommendations you've made for the other users and nothing happened. Hi again. I still can't connect the phone. I've tried with 2 phones so far, and the same simptoms. Solution?

Useless. Will not pair with S7. Update. Read a post by Tony Wouters further down this list. Followed his advice and I'm connected. Thanks to him, no thanks to Mitac. Further update. Can't be bothered with the app, once the connection is closed it is a complete pain to reconnect, if it ever does. Rubbish. Update. Thanks for the reply from the developer repeating the instructions that don't work. Not helpful. Updating the software would be more practical.

Wasn't very confident seeing all the poor reviews but installed it anyway. Cannot connect properly to the dashcam and overall the app is fairly underwhelming. It really needs to be scrapped and made from the start again. I'm bracing myself for the standard cut and paste response like everyone else gets, even though I have the current version and even reinstalled the app.

When I first read the comments I was terrified that I made a bad purchase. Went ahead, installed the dashcam in the car and downloaded the app. I could perfectly pair the phone and the cam right away. Everything works perfectly fine. People complaining about the download speed, buy a sd card reader (sd to usb) and just remove the card when you want to download your clips. You're welcome. The only reason I give 4 stars is because the amount of acces the app requires to personal data unnecessary.
