Free and open source software... this makes passbolt one of the best password managers available. the mobile implementation could use a local read only backup for internet outage's but otherwise it's just what I need. if you have half a brain, I recommend trying it. you need to host a instance yourself or rent one, either way it's the price you pay for being in control over your own data with actual security and feature parity to other password managers

Linking is super simple with the QR code and an even supports my fingerprint reader. Doesn't pick up on ever autofill in every integrated app's browser such as mail but for duckduckgo and my Chrome browser it appears correctly. 5/5 (I use the community edition on my own server)

Doesn't load passwords or totp codes. App loads forever and never shows passwords.

Provides all the secure functionality Passbolt on computer provides in a portable form. My main issue is that the process of reading and creating/editing in this app is difficult. Reading grey text on a black background when the text is entirely random and I'm copying it to some other device is very frustrating. When creating/editing an entry sharing to other groups is cumbersome, as you have to save the entry, find the sharing button, add a group, then use a drop-down to change permissions.

After a year of trying hard to make the service work, I finally gave up due to high frustration and user complains. While the web app and browser plugin work okayish the app is a disaster. No offline support, auto fill does not work, and on some devices even biometric sensors are not supported.

I really really like the PC experience but this app will maybe auto fill 50% of the time and I'm taking about the times it will even pop up. Other times it shows the select from passbolt and after picking one it just asks me to select again

UI/UX and responsiveness of the app definitely needs improvement. But nonetheless I find this Password Manager being the more privacy-oriented option out there thanks to its open-source nature, and fullfills my needs of delegating a selection of passwords to my team.

for over 20 years I had the same weak password for over 70 web sites. It has been a miracle I've never been hacked. passbolt has changed my life by providing one touch access to strong passwords and a level of security that I had never even considered before. I am proud to give passbolt my first ever Google play review.
