Since downloading Tonic, I have practiced more. That's why I'm going 5 stars. The app is motivating, and the events are fun, like the Sony headphone event going on right now. I hope I win some headphones! It's awesome to go into people's studios and ask questions. I've found many people who have been helpful with anything I've asked. 2 days ago, I bought a tenor saxophone, and someone helped me set it up. I think it would be great if you could customize your avatar and room a lot more, though!

The app is a great concept and can be very helpful motivate me to practice. However the app is so buggy that iv lost my streak before because the app would not open or just bug out when I tried to open a studio. Another thing to be mindful of is that when you block someone it does not hide any of there messages in threads. I do not know if this is a bug or intentional but this is something that has made me limit my use of the chats.

This app is super motivational, it really does an awesome job of getting me out to practice every day even if it is only for 30 minutes. It isn't without issue, especially on Android but it is getting better. Once the last of the issues on the Pixel 8 Pro are resolved, I will wholeheartedly give it 5 stars

Great concept and community, but this battery drain is monstrous. I use it 3 or 4 hrs last few days and it is responsible for 68% of battery usage. Too many times this has crashed my entire network when loading someone's studio, needing a router reset. So much wasted time! Feature Request: have an option to disable the cartoon avatar/room Phone is a pixel 6, android 14 build 003.F1

Accountability in an environment where everyone shares the same interests and struggles. You find nothing but teachers, allies, and friends. The point system, ranks, and rewards give it a game feel but the opportunity to get feedback from others is like going to a conservatory. I have practiced everyday for two weeks. It has really helped my playing stamina. I played for 41 minutes yesterday with no discomfort. Thank you to the whole Tonic community.

Pros: community groups, good way to keep track of practice time. Basically everything it's supposed to be, with the addition of you get to listen to professionals play. leader boards and practice streaks are good motivation to practice everyday Cons: "Daily bonus" at least for me makes it so there's not so much incentive to go beyond 20 minutes a day of practice. Studios take too long to load.

The core concept is solid, and it is a great way to meet other musicians, but the app itself is slow and buggy as hell. Constant freezing; crashing; transitions that fade to white and then never show the UI; hiding ststem UI until you try to interact then showing the system UI and moving every UI element when you tap; it has even crashed Android itself many times. The list of issues goes on and on, and the devs show no interest in fixing anything.

I love this app. It helps me to track what I have practiced and when. It also has fun challenges in which you can compete against other musicians to see who can get into the top 10 or top 100 of the leaderboard in XP (Experience Points). The more you practice, the further up the Leaderboard you move. I also love the various badges you can earn such as Practice Streaks. I use this app every day.
