Rangeet is an app with a reputable play-based curriculum and resource bank founded on the latest international learning science. The curriculum/resource bank, called SEEK, for Social Emotional & Ecological Knowledge, helps schools, families & communities (facilitators) develop the skills vital to thrive in this rapidly changing world on the path to wellbeing, agency and global stewardship in every child aged 6-16. Only one device is needed to implement the program, which is used by the facilitator. The app measures impact and works offline.Facilitators can either teach the full curriculum once a week or using the search function, type in a skill they wish to develop and/or issue they aim to solve and/or core subject or United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (UN SDG) they want to tackle. This will search through the resource bank of 1000+ activities and provide facilitators with activities of variable length to suit their needs, even in core subjects. SEEK aims to achieve government education objectives of holistic and experiential learning.
It is no secret that the one-size-fits-all approach to education is not only severely limiting but is also culpable of not serving all children. At Rangeet, we understand that knowledge is absorbed in personal, varied and individual ways leading every child to learn differently. SEEK addresses the fundamental issue of automating children in the modern-day classroom through experiential, active playful learning.
The app enables anyone to teach in any socioeconomic, geographic or cultural context, in-person or remotely, at home, in schools and/or communities, even in conflict zones and refugee camps. It contains tools that measure impact on children and collects feedback from facilitators. Facilitators use the app to teach in many languages and input data captured from classrooms. The web backend helps administrators manage the program. Monitoring & Evaluation tools provide timely insight to administrators/donors.
Rangeet has 3 umbrellas (Self, Society, Ecology) with 120 x 1 hour lessons. Facilitators and learners who go through the full SEEK curriculum experience 120 hours of consistent, in-depth and evaluated lessons, leading to sustained impact, building agency.
Rangeet has been named a UN Best Practice for several years and featured as a model for playful teaching methods and a top global app for data collection by renowned international organisation the Brookings Institution. SEEK is the foundation for the first wellbeing curriculum in India and a toolkit to teach the UN SDGs, both developed by Rangeet for Oxford University Press India.
Rangeet’s digital platform is curriculum-agnostic. Anyone looking to scale their own programs cost-effectively can use Rangeet as a Service (RaaS) to digitise and measure impact of their own teaching material.
