I like this a lot. I use it with my Orbea Rise EMTB which just has a dongle (Junction box A) and no display. This app allows me to use my phone as the display. You get speed and cadence displayed in real time. The battery charge and range are displayed. The assist level is shown. It even has a map and can do navigation. Best of all if you record your ride you can get the app to automatically post the ride to your Strava account. It all works without hassle. You do need the partner Etube project app installed to access the motor settings. Really surprised that others do not like this. I think the biggest issue is getting the Etube project app up and running before you add this app to it.

I ride an eMTB and use this app every time as I struggle to see the small display on the bike. If I was able to download a decent ordnance survey map it would be perfect, I'd even be happy to pay! As it is I hop between this and OSMaps when exploring off-road using bridle paths and tracks. An option for battery percentage would be helpful rather than the blocks.

The app has repeatedly failed to persist longer rides (~3h), as it hangs while saving a ride. The amount of data required to persist a ride (GPS, heartrate, motor power profile used) is minimal (a fit file containing all data is <1mb), so this should never happen. The app is also unable to recover the non-persisted ride. As a software engineer, this is an unacceptable error scenario, and I'll move back to a dedicated head-unit for cycling.

I like the look of the app but it no longer logs speed or distance. It manages to track my route on the map and logs the time but that is it. No live data either apart from which gear I'm in. A nice looking app but a bit point less without live detail. Also the email for developer is not working. Keeps bouncing back saying email does not exist.

Worth learning both of the apps that come with the Shimano interface, one for the bike and one for the ride. Electric is all about the interface, parts and great service. That's why we went with REI and their Shimano bike. I have an electric scooter that the company went bust and now that the battery is getting old, I have no replacement. We learned an expensive lesson.

Remaining battery needs to be in %. Route on map does not follow exact route lots of straight lines and cutting corners. Tried different settings , got access to GPS all time. Specialized apps like Mission Control and Blevo work much better and give lots more info. Unfortunatly Shimano have re invented the wheel and use a unique protocol to connect bike info to phone so other apps cant use it.

REALLY nice job with this app. The only thing that's missing is the ability to track and report altitude/elevation gain. I docked a star for this, but would easily be a 5 star app if this was added. I have to run 2 different apps when I ride in order get my elevation gain. Would be nice if it was just the etube app.

With Strava and Wahoo there's really no point to using a Shimano-branded exercise app. What I was expecting was an app that would let me configure the Di2, update its firmware, and adjust the shifters. But their other app, the SHIMANO PROJECT app, crashes on load on my phone, which is a common Android 12 device. There is no excusing such terrible tools, and not fixing them? I'll be looking elsewhere for my next gruppo.
