The finder dynamically generates a listing of moon phases, eclipses, planetary moon events, meteor showers and planetary phenomenon such as conjunctions, elongations and oppositions.
+ Notifications - the notifications section has been completely revamped to allow you to customize and manage which events trigger an alert notification on your device.
+ Telescope Support - telescope control is at the heart of SkySafari. Version 7 takes a giant leap forward by supporting ASCOM Alpaca and INDI. These next generation control protocols allow you to effortlessly connect to hundreds of compatible astronomical devices.
+ OneSky - allows you to see what other users are observing, in real time. This feature highlights objects in the sky chart and indicates with a number how many users are observing a particular object.
+ SkyCast - allows you to guide a friend or group around the night sky through their own copy of SkySafari. After initiating SkyCast, you can generate a link and conveniently share it with other SkySafari users via text message, apps or social media accounts.
+ Sky Tonight - jump to the new Tonight section to see what’s visible in your sky tonight. Expanded information has been designed to help plan your night and includes Moon & Sun info, calendar curations, events and the best positioned deep sky and solar system objects.
+ Improved Observation Tools - SkySafari is the perfect tool to help you plan, record and organize your observations. New workflows make it easier to add, search, filter and sort data.

Very buggy with bugs that have been ignored for nearly a year. These are all very simple to reproduce. Mag limits are ignored and change when zooming. Using the planner to show an object at a future date shows the object at the current date when you click on it. Renaming an Observing list does not work--every keyboard I've tried opens and then closes itself. The blue shaded entries under "Tonight | Calendar", has the text cut off and cannot be viewed. Too many problems for such an expensive app.

Really enjoying this upgrade from Sky Safari 6 plus. I love that touching on a star will give an info panel. This is great. I loved the blue menus in 6 Plus and wish we could choose this and an option. The white menus are so bright. I do not have a telescope so can't comment on those aspects of the app. Having used SF 6+ a great deal, I am really happy with the upgrade and woukd have given 5☆ if I had that ble menu which just feels so much easier on the eyes. Great app.

This app sells itself as turnkey method to control celestron scopes. It doesnt work on my Evolution C8. Additional downloads and some tweaking of network settings are needed to control the various scopes - they are not included in the app but need downloading after purchase. I'm not a tech guru, so it's not for me.

After I figured out which method to use, connecting to my scope was easy. Navigation works very well. It's been easy to use and the go-to has been spot on.

Had a little trouble connecting my telescope, but once I got it I loved it!! Great app, it's my 3rd one by the way...

The Observe / Scope Display function on this Android app does not seem to work at all on my NEC Lavie 8 inch tablet. It worked great on iOS system version but I wonder if this an Android bug? Of course I have explored all options in the menu including activating it when no telescope is connected. But it still does not work properly. Other than that, the app is a fantastic tool. But that one critical feature seems to be a major problem for me.

amazing app when it's working. I've had this for about a year now, and it has everything I could ever wish for in a stargazing app, including a very accurate compass for a point-and-see experience. lately, the app has been crashing frequently for bo apparent reason, and I have tried reinstalling it several times
