What can you do with the app?
The projects you may be asked to participate in will involve some or all of the following:
- taking or sharing photographs of specified objects, people or situations,
- recording or sharing short video shots in accordance to the specifications,
- recording or sharing sound or speech samples as specified in the instructions,
- visiting places to provide information and media recorded there.
What is needed to reap full benefits of the app?
Because of the nature of media collections and activities that the app facilitates, DataForce Contribute will request several permissions for you to be able to perform the projects described above. In all cases the app requires access to the permissions only when in use to ensure your full control.
The “when in use” permissions you need to grant include:
- camera access (taking photos and recording video clips),
- files and multimedia access (sharing photos and other media files selected by you, from your device),
- microphone (recording sounds or speech samples),
- location (for location-specific reporting of information).
Please note that you will actively select the files to be shared and will always be aware of what and when you are sharing.

The app had a bug that was preventing me from claiming my third of three projects. I was not getting very good support from my assigned supervisor via email over several weeks, so I reported the issue here as a two-star review. Within days, I received notice of a software update with bug fix for my issue. I was then able to complete my project. Rating increased to four stars. This is my first project with DataForce and Trans Perfect. Next we'll see how the payment process works. Wish me luck!

Does not work at all. Logged in and tried to complete my qualification tasks. App forces close immediately after pressing stop on the recording and does not save the recording at all. Can't even get past the qualification task to even get jobs. Please fix this issue. I've uninstalled and reinstalled, cleared my cache, cleared out adequate storage space on my phone, tried it on both mobile data and Wi-Fi, and the same issue remains. Support emails just give generic info with no real help.

Big glitches in this app. Everytime I tried to record, it wouldn't start for several seconds and when it did, the time counter would jump to 9 seconds, then 14, 27, and so on. When I would hit stop recording, it lagged considerably before stopping on 47 seconds or sometimes more,(And this is for several breif voice recordings that are only supposed to be 5 to 15 seconds long at the most. When I tried to start the process over, just getting back to the main dashboard screen would take 5mins +

Terrible, terrible app. First it wouldn't log me in because it wouldn't recognize my home wi-fi, so I had to waste mobile data to get in. Then the UI is clunky and its recording functions completely broken. I had a small gig where I needed to record audio and maybe 20% of them went through. Thanks for costing me a job.

I opened the app when I got notification that I was accepted and there were 3 jobs assigned to me. I went to preview the afternoon job, just to check it out, I went back to the homepage, and it said no new, in progress or completed jobs. I clicked again where I just had and now all job opportunities have vanished.. very unfortunate. Was gonna start right away

Great experience. I did a project of 2 hours. I paid the gas but the project was simple and I made 90$. They provided detailed info, excellent customer service, and communicated info by text, calls, and email. . The platform is easy to understand. Look into it. It's remote work. They pay with gift card, wire transfer, or check.. I can't express how good dataforce is. Believe me, cuz my boyfriend and I made 90$ each.

Every email I sent to so many different email addresses to get assistance has not given me a response back about a job that was sent to my email and the fact that I have not seen anything show up on the app. I applied immediately and was sent the welcome email and info about the job but the job hasn't shown up on the app. And I haven't gotten a solution to the problem. Finally got the task on the website, for some reason it took a long time to show up. Dont get any task to do anymore.

Neither can cancel a job in progress nor already reserved, support doesn't answer. Payment option is also hard to do,, although PayPal is registered...
