Definitely 5 stars for content. Amazing instructors from many disciplines. With an all access sub you literally have an entire world of guitar and some other instruments at your fingertips. However, the app's functionality is a mix of nice touches and nagging deficiencies. For example, if you back out of the lesson you're watching, you go back to the search results screen, not the lesson's course page. Just one of many examples.

What was that? Go back, no that's last video. I've seen all that, pan 3 minutes in, no wait, go back! There, uhh why does pause not work? I clicked play 14 times, now that I have my guitar in hand. Why did back close the app? Find the video in my history, no there's no history, I have to click "favorite" and ⭐ each "new" spot. Keep a pen and paper handy, write down where I was/am. Can I look at the PDF while the video is playing? No can't do that either. Memorize the chart, then go back.

Have had this app for years, but this update is ridiculously bad. Can't save or print the materials from my phone. Once I find the button to print, which i now had to guess and experiment to find, i press print and the materials disappear and nothing else happens. And the "sign in" in the same menu only has a Gooe sign in, and if i sign in with that, it's an old account that doesn't have my saved courses and lessons.

Truefire content is great, but the app is far from it. It's buggy and the developers show total disregard for android users. There are still key features available on ios that are not available on android such as casting. When I try to download videos it does not realize that I've purchased them so the download button is just for show. If I hadn't already purchased so many courses I would consider changing learning platforms as virwing on PC is the only decent platform.

Lots of good content, terrible app. It's really hard to pick up where you left off. They have a section for recently watched but my recently watched courses are never in there. Playing lessons videos can also be pretty buggy. That said, it's not technically unusable. You can work around the bugs but it can pretty frustrating and add friction to practicing, which as we all know is a great way to break your practice habit.

Kinda buggy. There are some inconsistent buttons on Android and Web. You can set something as completed but whenever you click on the course again it's a bit random as to what lesson it starts you at. It also doesn't automatically mark something as completed when you finish the video - making tracking progress a little more involved than it really should be. The video stretches instead of scaling proper in landscape mode. Occasionally the audio loops at an odd interval. It's usable at least.

At the end of a video, pressing the next video button will cause two audio feeds to play slightly out of phase with one another. The sliders for looping are non functional. When pressing the loop button a random portion of the track will be highlighted, and the sliders can't be moved to loop the entire track or a different section. Always defaults to auto playing the first video in the series opening the app despite marking it as completed. Love the content, but the android app is terrible.

Original DL worked on Samsung Note 10+. I Updated, and True Fire loads but gives me an error msg , says I have no courses. When access True Fire online using my pc their site shows the course that a purchased in my library and I am able to access and use it.... Frustrated that against my better judgment, I updated the app. Because my personal experience has been that most app up dates are worse than the original...
