The PointSolutions polling app (formerly TurningPoint) allows you to use your web-enabled device to respond to questions in real time and self-paced modes. PointSolutions is proven to increase retention and engage learners while allowing instructors to collect data to ensure comprehension.
A variety of subscription options are available.

Tophat gang. But in all seriousness I feel like there is a lot of smalls things that could be added to make this feel more complete. This first thing would be to auto-leave a session once the PowerPoint is finished so your phone wouldn't keep the app open for until you manually press leave. Also to have a history bar/menu so you can see what you previously answered. Also since this app is linked with PowerPoint, be able to view the PowerPoint slides so you can keep track of what you are doing.

Last semester, the professor NEVER could get Turning Point to work. This semester, it works great! 👍 Sometimes it freezes and you have to exit out and re-enter, but other than that, it's fine. *** NOT: It would be great if Turning Point could save the questions and correct answers so we could go back and study them for the test.

It wouldn't even allow me to log in, saying I need to be connected to WiFi or data. Tried on my data at 3 different locations all day, and tried on two different WiFi networks that I confirmed were otherwise working. This app is awful, the technical support option at the bottom is useless, and the only reason I even tried the app is because my clicker has scored me a 0% on every single question in my class so far, because it is not registering my answers despite everything being setup.

Definitely a good app for college students. Most universities should already have pre-payed for this app so you just need to log in with your university id. Much better then buying those clunky $70 clickers. This app does sometimes have some technical difficulties but it is often user based or solved with just restarting your phone. Another negative is that I can be difficult to set up the app the first time you use it.

Sitting in class right now and I wasn't able to answer the last question of my quiz because the app wouldn't move on to the question. Thanks for messing up my grade with shoddy software. UPDATE: The app decided to sign me out in the middle of a session, so I missed out once again on opportunities for points. Outrageous; I'd give 0 stars if it were possible. UPDATE: Literally sitting in class right now with the session code not working. I watched the questions pass by while I couldn't answer.

Refused to connect to a polling session that was active, claimed that the app was not up to date even though it was. The polling session worked fine on the website. Thanks for making me miss every poll in the class.

The app could really use a way to save session IDs. I use them to answer questions during lectures, and only have about 30 seconds to a minute to answer them. Searching for an ID for the specific class, typing in a code, and then waiting for the answer screen to load actually takes up a lot of time used for answering the first question in class.
