The androids started working together again. But iPhones and iPads are not. I've sat down with the iUsers to troubleshoot with them, and even after following the reset push notifications instructions, their iDevices and my android simply do not send notifications to one another. It's like email. I have to open Wire in order to download the messages. So do they. I can't figure it out.

Seems OK, for folks who can workaround a slightly difficult personal account registration process, and are only interested in communicating to a closed group. Competition probably includes Signal and WhatsApp, where contacts have to be registered also. Was hoping for general purpose app', to replace Google Messages. Appreciated Wire support responses to a bunch of folks struggling with the app'.

I'm deleting this app because it don't work. I contacted support and they suggested leaving the app open for an extended period of time to see if that would correct the issue. It still don't work. Decrypting messages and waiting for network. It's been like this for at least 6-8 weeks. I'm going back to KIK and that app sucks now too. I guess I should take this as a sign to quit hiding messages. Edit.....I've tried rebooting the phone, force stop on app, check for updates, leaving app open. 👎👎

I really like this app and have been using it for years. Recently, though, I haven't been getting push notifications on my phone (Android). I've reset my push notification token but it didn't fix the issue. 5 stars once this bug gets figured out, either on my end or via an update. Otherwise this is a beautiful and easy to use app.

Thanks for your speedy reply to my camera query. Another area is calls. I have asked another person to install this app just to check out all the niche features that this app is offering. With regards to calls I had kept both the phones side by side and it was connected to the same Wi-Fi. Surprising to find out while one phone shows its ringing there is no call getting received on the other phone. Another point is when the phone is switched off or data is disconnected it still rings

pros and cons: I like little details: appearance, keyboard, chat message rather than text since it allows you to see when the other person is texting back, has read the message, message delivered. etc. but what I don't like is it doesn't work unless you have a decent signal, failed messages don't automatically resend, the camera through text is zoomed in, nothing about screenshot notifications: I would like to know when/if someone has taken a picture of my messages, pictures, etc.

Needs work — maybe a lot I'm really glad that Wire works at all, she that is open source. Was trying to get something temporary while Signal was down. It's buggy as can be though. The signup process failed twice. It feels like a beta or alpha. The interface is kind of weird and the background is way too busy. With a slight redesign and some bug fixes I am sure Wire could do better but this isn't a 5 star app right now.

Total garbage if you have an Android. Nothing they have done to "improve" the app has changed its performance on my phone, as I almost never get the messages (though thankfully they at least come through on my desktop, so I see them eventually, but that issue defeats the purpose of a messaging app!). And even when I get the messages to my phone, I rarely get push notifications. Skip right over this if you have any intention of communicating with droid users and get Telegram instead.
