Same as some other reviewers, the lack of persistent notification showing status is a major deficiency. Especially having no notification of inability to connect, confirmation of successful connection, and clear notification of disconnection leaves you guessing. Opening the app & trying to decipher recent log entries to determine connection status is not acceptable. Two stars at best, largely because it offers no peace of mind that the VPN is connected & working at any given moment.

Wireguard itself is great. However the android app is lacking. There's no way to have it connect automatically depending on WiFi or whatever. The only way to accomplish that is with tasker but tasker has trouble turning it on randomly. Also the notification pull down tile often says that wireguard is "unavailable" so there is literally no reliable way to quickly turn the VPN on or off.

The app works well, the setup is easy and the tunnel is set up properly. I would wish for one more feature, though: an in-built applock that protects the app from opening when giving the phone to someone else (you don't really want another person holding your phone being able to connect to your vpn with one click). This could alternatively also just be a pattern

Superb app for a superb VPN service. It definetly has its configuration challenges and everything beyond a simple client server configuration is not very well documented, but when it works, it is rock solid. A feature I really miss is some ability to automatically toggle the VPN, maybe based on the connected Wifi or even better: Integration with Tasker!

it's performance is amazing, just few bugs needs to be fixed 1. over the night or after few hours the application goes into sleep mode 2. add a feature that it should be able to tunnel whole device or only few apps 3. it should always be on until clos3d manually.

Works but opaque. No update notes. Wireguard itself is sparsely documented. The lack of transparency in a VPN product does not install confidence given the critical role of an app of this functionality

The best personal VPN around. I've been using it for several years on my phone to my server at home and I can use any public wifi without worry.

Well, it does connect and work but I feel it runs in a very hidden manner. No permanent notification, no status bar icon. Also, the connection process is completely hidden so you have no idea if it is connecting at all until the toggle switch suddenly turns green. I understand the minimalist approach but this app is a step too far, I will look for an alternative.
