It's a great app for paragliding that I've been using since the early beta days and it just keeps getting better. The one thing I really like is how visible the screen is and as we all know most LCD screens are really hard to read in the bright sun we often fly in. Even with extreme sun I can still make out the essential info with FlyMe. I've used it many times for competition tasks and it has served me well. I can upload immediately to several sites and now easily export an IGC file. It even does live tracking although I've never used that. I have US airspace imported from the SoaringWeb app - you upload it to the XCGlobe "cloud" feature and then download it on your phone. I pair it to my external bluetooth vario by BlueFly and it works well, and for the last year I've used it almost exclusively on my JellyPhone which is a tiny 2.5 inch phone that I wear on my arm. The UI adapts pretty well to such a tiny low-res screen but it is still very usable. I just don't expect to be changing the display while in flight since taking off my gloves would be mandatory for that. With my regular Pixel phone with a 6.25" screen all is good - I can easily use it with gloves.

Fantastic and simple, especially like the thermal assist. 5 stars if it had a dark mode to conserve battery, and an option for a screen with the thermal assist always on. And an option to import thermal positions on the map (an ok fix for battery consumption is to invert colours)

You can't turn this app off and be prepared your "vario" can start beeping at any moment, even if you don't use your phone. Have been beeping for the last 30 minutes anoying everyone around, not knowing it was my phone!
