It doesn't seem to bother anyone else but it bothers me that I cannot find an up to date video on using the app. There is a video produced by deeper, but it's from 2014. Maybe everyone else is smarter or younger than me but I could use a full description of all the parts of the app, otherwise I am probably missing something. I am having to listen to YouTube videos from random people describe the system in whatever unorganized way they do, instead of a good professional overview from the company.

App works well enough, the Deeper Pro+ is great, however I'm in a kayak and there's no auto rotate/flip. I have to have my phone mounted in a specific orientation which puts my clamp right on the lock button. This is an amateur oversight in the development process. EDIT: While portrait mode will be great, how about also allowing landscape in any orientation of the phone. For example, if I'm in landscape, and flip the phone 180°, the app should then rotate 180° so it's not upside down.

At first I was skeptical. I bought it and when I used it it really did show the right depth and fish. I compared it to my the one on my boat and it was identical. Also there was only one fish showing on scan and it was able to help me land a 2 pound crappie in 12ft of water. If you don't have this definitely get one. It will change your life.

The actual fish finder is great! But frankly, the lack of any detail in the map I tried creating at a favorite fishing spot was rather disappointing. I guess it's possible that it only shows depths in large increments. So maybe a sudden drop off in depth of only 5 feet just doesn't show up. Idk. But it seems like that's info woth showing, and as an angler, worth knowing about.

I was really happy to find out that there were portable sonar/fish finders for people like me who fish off the shore. I bought a deeper smart(the basic, entry level one), downloaded this app and have been using it since then. I think the app is awesome and has alot of features even for the entry level sonar. I really like that it records and stores from the time it touches the water(with the app open and connected of course)until you disconnect from its wifi. I've had no issues with the app yet!

The map in boat mode is extremely difficult to read now. Especially during the day due to the contrast of the light blue water and light tan for land. If you're in uncharted Waters it's extremely hard to see. You're now have to pay annual in app fees. This product is perfect for kayak/canoe fishing. I highly recommend not casting this out into the water. It's heavy and your line could snap. Overall this product has Great potential. I used my pro+ all the time till the battery depleted.

The Deeper Chirp is a pretty high powered device, especially for the price if you match it up to a Vexilar or the Humminbird units. It's small size is a HUGE factor as well, being able to pop it in my pocket going from ice hole to ice hole is fast and easy, plus it drops the total weight of my gear to haul around which is important for me. You also can't beat the bottom detection capabilities of this unit, it makes finding structure (and fish) so much faster and easier. Well done Team Deeper!

I have 1000+ scans with the Deeper Pro+ (on my 3rd). I have had and prefer to use the previous version of the app because of one reason- None of my previous hostory/ bathymetric maps have transfered to the new version of the app. Essentially I am starting from scratch....making a new map for the version of the app (I have 150+ scans on some lakes) . I shouldn't have to log into Lakebook to see my aggregate data (full maps), this should be in the app. Good app, but 1 flaw.
