The HKC SecureComm2 app enables users to easily manage their alarm systems from any location. Receive alert notifications directly to your phone, track alarm events via a detailed log history and depending on your alarm panel, control your gates, lights and heating via the app.

Complete control
With the SecureComm2 app you can remotely arm, unset or partset your alarm system. Plus the audible announcement will confirm when your alarm has been set or unset.

Updated design
A brand new design layout and great new features provide an enhanced user experience.

Biometric login
With the new biometric login feature users can set up face or fingerprint ID meaning there’s no need to enter your user code every time.

Log History
Up to 100 log events are available within the app and users can now filter these events by date, set/unset or alarm event.

I have just installed the app after upgrading my alarm and my initial impression is that it is not fit for purpose. My primary requirement is that it would notify me if our alarm was triggered. It didn't send a notification this morning when the alarm went off. I have configured the app to be totally unrestricted on my device and it appears to me that it will only work if the app is open rather than in the background. I have subsequently tested it and it is totally inconsistent. Disappointing.

Doesn't work AGAIN. When I last posted a review the amendments introduced worked....but now its impossible to access the system again. The same issues as other users apply. Old app works fine off my Samsung phone. This is now taking far too long to resolve. Must leave the old app operational until these glitches are sorted..... Permanently. Alternatively dispose of the new app ( there's really no difference) and stick with the original.

There is something wrong with this version on WiFi. The app connects fine using mobile data, but fails to connect on WiFi. The old apps works on the same WiFi without any problems. I wonder if there is a technical documentation somewhere that would list required ports and domains/IP addresses that the app would use (in case pihole/firewall blocks them). As for feedback on the app, nice work. On the other hand if I would have to rank my preferences... functionality and "snappiness" over design.

As reported by many others, this app does not work at all reliably! Most times, I get a connection error. I note HKC's response to these other posts that the old app will continue to work while they fix the technical issues with the new one, so I reinstalled it. That is also now giving me the same connection error (which it did not do before). Most unhappy!!

New app is slower and feels more clunky (eg keyboard that doesn't even appear unprompted, then takes ages to appear) and now my phone is telling me about each set and unset twice. Not an improvement by any stretch of the imagination. Part 2: app now randomly failing to connect and telling me my internet connection isn't good enough, but after 2 or 3 attempts it works. I have removed another star for this as it's becoming a bit annoying.

Connectivity problems, no connection, messaging passwords and codes wrong, regret installing the new app ... spoken with installer and they tell me there are problems, they have received emails from HKC (or whoever) saying they are trying to sort it out. Not going to hold my breath. In the meantime no mobile messages and checks when away from property.

New system does not connect to arm alarm, keeps given no signal connection. When alarm went of got no notification on app or text to say there had been an entry. One of the reasons for choosing this service is to be able to monitor when not at home. Not impressed at all with the new upgrade. Hopefully this is just a few teething problems that can be fixed.
