The concept behind this app is truly excellent, and I've been intrigued by it since its initial release. It still has a long way to go, but it's nice to see that it is advancing. Pronunciations still need to be improved, and there is no auto-scroll in the PDF viewer. Also, it completely skips the figures and tables, which frequently have very important information in their descriptions. The most annoying thing to me is that the titles are read as part of the first sentence.

I will be honest and say I'm not especially impressed. I signed up for a free trial, but wasn't able to pick any of the premium voices (which are limited in number anyway). The voice itself was alright, but not remarkable, and often became confused by things like hyphenation at the end of the page. It would randomly start reading out headers and footnotes, and on the next page decide not to. These issues should be ironed out before I will pay for the service.

The best text to speech app that you can find. AI audio narrator voices sound remarkably natural. Ran into technical issues at one point but if you get in touch with the support team they communicate with you until the problem is resolved. Very impressed with this app!

This could've been great. However there is no way to cancel or properly delete a download, so it's just stuck on your app even if you have 'deleted' it. I attempted to convert a PDF and the image quality of my file came out terrible after going through the conversion, and I checked that I wasn't just my file. I love the voices though, and the minimalist design is amazing. The converting software just needs some work, along with not getting stuck downloading something at 90%. I'll check back in.

This app has a lot of potential, but it could use some improvements. For one, I constantly have problems with uploading on my phone, paryicularly for larger PDFs. A lot of the time an upload gets stuck at 90% and then eventually fails. A couple times it's been stuck at 90% then I retry and it ends up uploading the PDF twice. The voices are a bit robotic compared to the latest advancements in text to speech, and often the word tracking gets out of sync with the audio after a couple minutes.

It can get a little glitchy depending on the format of the article being imported, but in the end Listening has positively impacted the number of articles I'm able to read every day. Sometimes it mispronounces terminology but my research is in a pretty small field, and after submitting a couple reports I've seen improvement. Definitely give this app a try!

Love the concept and abilities of the app overall. But it could use some updates to 1) be android auto or apple car play compatible to support with driving while listening 2) structure more like an audio book to ensure there are pauses when going between subtitles - similar to how they introduce chapters (often the subtitle is read quickly and followed quickly by the first paragraph, lending little time to process it is a new section)

love the concept and the UI is decent, very minimalist and good looking. It really helps me get through dense academic and legal texts. A bit expensive, and could have a few more notes features for a premium option, like adding your own spoken notes to clips or summarizing content from clips.
