I'VE used this brilliant tool for over two years. It's a Really Handy tool for anyone trying to get practice handling celestial coordinates. The developer regularly adds useful tweaks. Is also responsive to suggestions and questions by email. I often feel I should be paying for this. It's reliable and comprehensive. Remember to keep your field sensor tuned properly. Great for checking calcs. eg. Az. Alt. Amplitude. Works on ALL bodies - not just the 57 on the selected list. NEW.Reinstall in2022

Here I stand, looking right at the little dipper, in the clear cloudless nova scotia country sky and this app couldn't pick out even the most rudimentary constellation. If you're located somewhere where you can't physically see the stars yourself, this ap will show you an accurate map of the sky, however it will not show the actual location of those actual stars if that's what you are looking for.

Useful app. It gives you the current star/constellation, moon, and sun positions at your exact GPS position, plus it let's you customize it for different locations and times, so that you can see what the sky will look like later. Helped me to find where the moon would later be for the lunar eclipse.

As a amateur astronomer for 55 yrs. these apps & devices are much easier to learn how to connect with the celestial sky, night or day. Fantastic! The old school way was tedious & physically demanding, working with loads of textbooks & the outdoors. Thanks for the new tech!

There is a search function, but it cannot find the Perseid meteor shower's direction. Apparently this common celestial event is not in its database, makes you wonder what else is missing. But very intuitive to use, you move your phone around to find the direction of whatever star you're looking for.

A hidden gem among the other star apps. I loved mostly its support for local multi language star names especially Arabic. One thing I still couldn't manage to do is opening this app on the website form from pc or mobile. I followed your example in the about section but no success.

Star chart would only move when I moved it manually. Did not work by pointing towards the sky. 10 yrs ago the star apps were so accurate. And that was before apps had to be downloaded on Google play. I was happy to find one that stated that the app did work by pointing phone to constellation wanting to be viewed. Alas it did not! Arghh!

Excellent! I've tried a handful of star charts and this is just the one I wanted.except for the fact that it's a cloudy sky and I cannot see a one damn star.it worked out the location in seconds, so I believe this data will be accurate as hell.
