With this app you can transliterate text to runes based on a phonetic correspondence with Latin or Cyrillic letters. This app translates the sounds of words, not the meaning. It is a good source for rune pronunciation and learning about the runic alphabets.

Supports the following major runic families:

• Elder Futhark runes (Common Germanic Fuþark)
• Swedish-Norwegian Fuþąrk (Rök; Younger Futhark, short twig)
• Danish Fuþąrk (Younger Futhark, long branch)
• Medieval rune alphabets
• The runes that J. R. R. Tolkien invented for Cirth (the rune script from The Hobbit / Lord of the Rings)

Supports Ogham (Old Irish script):
• Aicme Beithe / hÚatha / Muine / Ailme
• Forfeda (the letters added later)

For premium users:
• Anglo-Saxon runes (Anglo-Frisian Fuþorc)
• Old Turkic (Göktürk script / Orkhon script / Orkhon-Yenisey)
• Old Hungarian runes (rovásírás)
• Armanen runes (Armanen Futharkh)
• Gothic
• Old Italic
• Glagolitic (Old Slavonic "Glagolitsa", sometimes known as Slavic runes)
• Phoenician

Text is transcribed to runes based on a phonetic representation (English, Russian or language agnostic).

Super useful for comparing/contrasting different rune sets from across multiple regions. I've thoroughly enjoyed exploring the similarities and differences of the included rune sets, as well as furthering my understanding of the Younger and Elder Futhark during my studies of Norse culture and history. Only gave 4 stars because you can't save an image of translated text. It can only be shared through various social media as an image or text (if your device supports the character settings).

I Fixed the problem.😁 Just so the devopers know when I had the Facebook alternative app called Swipe Pro I had an issue with the space bar glitching out on the status update bar. It would move the cursor to the right but remain where it was. Then would add runes directly next to the previous character If I physically clicked to the right of the cursor it would jump there, behaving like I had already spaced to the right. But the space bar was completely unresponsive in every rune variant option

I love this app! Simple interface. Ads are pretty much ignorable, you don't see them very much. Writing in runic is an amazing experience for those who want to learn ancient runes. Just 2 minor issues. I don't know the inputs for certain runes. For example if i wanted to write "ᚿ" the description says "Khuzdul reversed schwa", but not what letter or letter combination you need to write it. For the other issue, it's only about not being able to set these runes on your keyboard.

I love this app. I use this app to enhance my D&D experiences, by writing out my spells and riddles in different languages. I love how it has an alphabet function, so i can learn the "letters" of all the different language options. I dislike the pay part of this app, it is initially free, but to access alot of the functions, you need to pay for them. All in all though, i supper fun app, for those with the will to learn new ways of communication, among dungeon mates.

Works decent enough, Premium is glitchy. Every time I switch to the runic keyboard on my note 10+ I am told I need to purchase the keyboard to use. Sometimes it will activate itself after a few seconds, other times I have to click into the app. Once I click into the app, again it will sometimes verify and sometimes take me to Google play that only tells you that it's already paid for. Fix that and it would easily be a four star.

Plenty of features...the translator app is very useful. However I do have the full version of the app and the system keyboard function refuses to work...well it worked once then dissapoofed. Will keep my eye on the app for future improvements. I rate it 3 stars as they full version seems to need some tuning...but as the free translation app is great on its own I would recommend to others to have a look.

I love this app. Paid upgrade also unlocks the keyboard & supports the developer who put much knowledge & effort into this app. Who complains that they aren't handed free stuff?! Even without the keyboard you can type then copy/paste. Love the reverse translation. It has a number of rune sets, even including Tolkein $ Seax-Wica circa 1973. There are illustrations showing the development of the rune shapes, audio of the name & sound, relevant sections of rune poems & so much more! Great stuff!

I like it but.. a lot of people I send it too don't receive the lettering. they simply get boxes with an 'x' in the center. I'm guess that has to do with the compatibility on their phone as well as the age of the system, as both my iOS and Android do not have this problem. I enjoy it nonetheless. Very good way to learn and teach yourself as well if one wanted too.
