অপরাজিত বিভূতিভূষণ বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় এর অনবদ্য এক সৃষ্টি। অপরাজিত বিভূতিভূষণ বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় রচিত দ্বিতীয় উপন্যাস। ‘প্রবাসী’ মাসিকপত্রে ১৩৩৬ সালের পৌষ সংখ্যা থেকে ১৩৩৮ সালের আশ্বিন সংখ্যা পর্যন্ত ধারাবাহিকভাবে প্রকাশিত হয়েছিল। অপুর অসাধারণ জীবনকে তুলে ধরা হয়েছে এ উপন্যাসে। নিশ্চিন্দিপুর থেকে চলে যাওয়ার পর অপুর কাছে তার গ্রাম্য জীবনকে সীমাবদ্ধ লাগতে থাকে। অপু প্রথমে দু’ক্রোশ দুরের স্কুলে এবং সেখান থেকে মহকুমার হাইস্কুলে লেখাপড়া করে। মহকুমার পরেই কলেজে পড়াশুনার জন্য অপু কলকাতায় যায়। কলেজে পড়ার সময় কলকাতায় থেকেই শুরু হয় অপুর আসল জীবনযুদ্ধ। কিছুদিন পর অপুর দেখা হয় তার বাল্যকালের বান্ধবী লীলার সাথে। অপুর মা সর্বজয়া মারা যায়, অর্থাভাবে অপুকে তার পড়াশোনা ছাড়তে হয়। ঘটনাচক্রে অপুর বন্ধু প্রণবের মামাতো বোন অপর্ণার সঙ্গে অপুর বিয়ে হয়। সন্তান জন্ম দিতে গিয়ে অপর্ণা মারা যায়। অপু দিশেহারা হয়ে পড়ে, জীবন হয়ে পড়ে এলোমেলো। একসময় অপু তার ছেলে কাজলকে নিয়ে আবারও মগ্ন হয় সংসারজীবনে। সেই জীবন বেশী দিন ভাল লাগে না। অপু তার ছেলে কাজলকে নিশ্চিন্দিপুরে তার ছেলেবেলার সঙ্গী রাণুদির কাছে রেখে সে চলে যায় ফিজিতে। একসময় অপু ও দুর্গা এই নিশ্চিন্দিপুরের বনে বাদাড়ে ঘুরে বেড়াতো। এত বছর পর অপুর ছেলে কাজল সেই একই জায়গায় ঘুরে বেড়ায়। এভাবেই অপরাজিত জীবন বয়ে চলে যুগের পর যুগ।

অপরাজিত অপু ত্রয়ীর দ্বিতীয় চলচ্চিত্র। অপরাজিত চলচিত্রটি ১৯৫৬ সালে মুক্তি পায় যার নির্দেশনায় ছিলেন সত্যজিৎ রায়। এই চলচ্চিত্রটি বিভূতিভূষণ বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় এর রচিত পথের পাঁচালী উপন্যাসের শেষের অংশ এবং অপরাজিত উপন্যাসের প্রথম এক-তৃতীয়াংশ নিয়ে তৈরি করা হয়েছে। চলচ্চিত্রে অপুর শৈশব, কৈশোর এবং কলকাতায় কলেজে পড়ার সময় জীবনের গল্প তুলে ধরা হয়েছে। ছবিটি ভেনিস চলচ্চিত্র উৎসবের স্বর্ণ সিংহ পুরস্কার সহ ১১টি আন্তর্জাতিক পুরস্কার লাভ করে।

The Aparajito is an impeccable creation of Bibhutibhushan Bandopadhyay. Aparajito is the second novel written by Bibhutibhushan Bandopadhyay. The Prabasi monthly was continuously published from the Poush issue of 1338 to the Ashwin issue of 1338. Apu's extraordinary life has been highlighted in this novel. After leaving Nishchindipur, Apu found his rural life limited. Apu first attended a school two crores away and then a sub-divisional high school. After the subdivision, Apu went to Calcutta to study in college. While studying in college, Apu's real life struggle started from Calcutta. A few days later, Apu met his childhood girlfriend Leela. Apu's mother Sarvajaya died, financially Apu had to drop out of education. Coincidentally, Apu got married to Aparna, Apu's friend Pranab's cousin. Aparna died while giving birth to a child. Apu lost his way, life became random. At one point, Apu and her son Kajal became engrossed in life again. That life doesn't feel good for long. Apu left her son Kajal with her childhood friend Ranudi in Nishchindipur and moved to Fiji. Once upon a time, Apu and Durga used to wander in the forest of Nishchindipur. After so many years, Apu's son Kajal wanders in the same place. In this way undefeated life flows from generation to generation.

The second film of the Aparajito Apu trio. The Aparajito film was released in 1958 under the direction of Satyajit Ray. The film is based on the last part of Bibhutibhushan Bandyopadhyay's Pather Panchali and the first one-third of the Aparajito novel. The film tells the story of Apur's childhood, adolescence and life in college in Calcutta. The film won 11 international awards, including the Golden Lion Award at the Venice Film Festival.
