This is a tool app that can change the orientation and rotation of the screen regardless of the attributes of the displayed application. The screen can be fixed in a specific orientation or, conversely, rotated according to the sensor.
You can change the screen orientation from the notification area. It is also possible to associate a specific application with the screen orientation and switch settings when the application starts.
Not all settings are available because some screen orientations are not supported by some devices.
Because this app forcibly changes the display of the running application, it can become inoperable or, in the worst case, cause a crash.
Please use at your own risk.
Even if a problem occurs, please refrain from making inquiries to the developer of the application as it will be a nuisance.
How this app works
This application displays the UI on a layer above other general applications.
It's transparent, no size and untouchable, so it's invisible to the user, but by changing the screen orientation requirements of this UI, it has a higher priority than apps that are normally visible to the user. The OS recognizes it as a high instruction.
In addition, this application will remain resident in the background to display the UI even after it is closed.
Therefore, the UI that resides in the notification bar is displayed. This is because Android rules need to display something in the notification bar in order to stay in the background.
Due to this mechanism, there are some restrictions.
- Although it can change the display of the notification bar, it cannot hide. I often request that you want to turn off the display, but please note that this is impossible due to the system.
- The system may recognize that it is the cause of battery consumption. In that case, this application may be terminated. If the app quits frequently, you may be able to avoid it by setting power saving, so please check the settings of your device.
- Since it has a UI above other apps, it may be recognized as an app that induces unauthorized operations. Therefore, this application may be detected and a warning may be displayed or operation may be prohibited. This app is not such an app, but please note that it will be an unavoidable problem as long as it uses the same mechanism as the fraudulent app.
- If you use this app together with other apps that display overlays, it may cause functional conflicts and may not function properly.

I want so much to love this app, but it has once significant flaw and one showstopper bug. The icons indicating ll North landscape screen orientations are back to front (the arrow in the icon points at the bottom of the screen, unlike for the portrait ones where it points at the top). Far worse though is that even when battery optimizations are explicitly disabled, the app constantly shuts itself down and has to be manually restarted before I can rotate my screen with it. Pity!

I only use this for rotation. It's 5*, because it serves that purpose beautifully. It doesn't require payment, it's not a possibly harmful .apk...and, the best part? It doesn't require "change system settings" or "accessibility" to be enabled via settings. Wonderful work. I only wish Google/Play didn't bury this app, as it's the only free, non 3rd-party .apk that doesn't ask for more control than it needs.

Pretty good app. My actual rating would be a 4.5 star though i can't give the half star. The only reason why would be because not all apps work with this. The biggest issueI have is that discord does not apply accordingly. Despite setting to "only portrait", it still goes landscape when my phone's orientation is set to auto.

4 years since I last downloaded this app and it's definitely improved. every app looks great except Facebook marketplace gets ssplit down the middle. apart from that I've always wanted full control. upside down gets rid of the camera. I can finally use Instagram how I've always wanted.

Orientation Control appears to do exactly what a certain $3.49 app does— but without playing a notification alert, twice, every time I unlock phn. Also like that other app, rotation of home screen icons and widgets is imperfect: in landscape the icons shrink, are horiz spaced farther apart (because grid doesn't rotate), and no icon names. Also does a bad job with clock and weather widgets, but I suspect it can't be helped. Doesn't seem to work on lock screen.

I like the presentation of this app over other rotation apps, but none of them can control my android Settings app. Is this normal? Every time I am taken to settings for anything, it uses the system rotation setting, which is very annoying. Is there a fix for this?

Performs it's intended purpose quite well. So useful when an app is intended for landscape but refuses to stay in landscape or vice versa

The UI wasn't intuitive and confusing at first. Also this app it doesn't start up at launch, so at your lock screen when your phone starts is the screen won't rotate which I need it to do because the bottom half of my screen is broken and I need to rotate it to use my pattern unlock. It launches after you unlock your phone. Other apps I have used that allow full screen rotation have launched prior to unlocking your phone
