Settings are accessed outside of the main app so that changes are not being made by accident.
Personal note:
I was using a different app to have light while reading and was annoyed by the ads being displayed.
I then created my own app and thought I also could share it with others.

I'm lost for words. An app developer who simply wants to share something useful, for free, without expecting an extortionate subscription fee (remember when you could buy programs and own them, and you didn't have to give some snake a proportion of your wages in exchange for them to lazily release a buggy and useless update once every two years?) or rendering the app useless with ads. It is so awesome that this app was developed out of a genuine desire to help and doesn't have ads. That seems almost unheard of nowadays. It is one of the most useful apps I've ever installed. I originally installed it just for nighttime reading, which it is great for; however, if you have young kids or an infant, it is the perfect nighttime flashlight, as keeping the light orange or red doesn't seem to disrupt their sleep. Whoever made this app, THANK YOU!

EXACTLY what I needed. Sometimes I want light coming from a specific direction while reading or crocheting or writing or drawing, and now I can set my phone wherever the light source is! Being able to change the color of the light and brightness is amazing for art as well as reading in bed. Makes you feel like you're under the covers with a flashlight but it's easier to balance. 😂

The absolute best at what it is. If you've ever needed a sustained light source without wanting to have the camera flasher blasting in an inarticulate, hard to manage way, then this app is for you. It turns the screen on to whatever color you want and keeps it on. Honestly, only in emergencies do I even consider the onboard "flashlight toggle," after I got this app.

Explore app, simple, Interchangeable, No ads, Just as it said. Credit to the dev for creating a perfect app. And its not only good for reading. It works for drawing. Overall sleeping. Finding lost items at night. It also is very small. Do you don't need to worry about it taking up space, or draining battery. MyaT part I would like to say is that its very suttle, so it doesn't disturbing or wake anyone. Very good for the toilet XD. Great app. Recommended in all situations.

Amazing. When trying to read at night, next to my sleeping son, I was annoyed by all the intrusive ads and was looking for a simple app like this. Really awesome, many thanks! Perhaps one extra option would be when the app goes in onPause() to not to have press start again just resume to flash? Just a positive suggestion.
