Android 8 / 9 Location Permission Notice
* NOTE: Android 8.0+ unfortunately required us to add the "approximate location" permission, as it's now required for apps that support Wi-Fi direct (because Wi-Fi direct leaks this information). FX does not ever actually query your location, and this permission will only ever be asked for on Android 8.0 and later when using FX Connect. This requirement previously applied only to Android 9.0, but because FX now specifies full support for the latest Android API, Android 8.0 also requires this permission.
We are currently offering version 9.0.1.2. This is our latest, most optimized version. It is suitable for many different devices. Free download directly apk from the Google Play Store or other versions we're hosting. Moreover, you can download without registration and no login required.
We have more than 2000+ available devices for Samsung, Xiaomi, Huawei, Oppo, Vivo, Motorola, LG, Google, OnePlus, Sony, Tablet ... with so many options, it’s easy for you to choose games or software that fit your device.
It can come in handy if there are any country restrictions or any restrictions from the side of your device on the Google App Store.

There are a ton of unique things FX can do as a file manager. Read some Windows Doc and Word files. Zip files, apk inspector, read dynamic xml files. It used to do pdf.js i think but at some point i think it stopped working. Hope the maintainers manage it. But when the time comes and FX gets pulled, it will be remembered as one of the best. Hands down. Just wish i knew how to use certain features or could ask a few specific questions ill never find answers for.

Used to be good, but it's not opening videos correctly anymore. The video just freezes or doesn't play. It doesn't happen with a different file explorer only this one. There is a bug when opening video files and the default app just freeze black. It's been like this for months. I do not recommend this app since the devs have abandon it.

The Pro version of this app has been my go to for a while, but it has recently stopped allowing me to connect Google Drive, with a message saying that the app has been blocked by Google for trying to access sensitive info. I was previously very pleased with FX as a file explorer, but this issue breaks the functionality I needed.

I have been a happy user for years. A Premium user. Replaced my phone, and now FX is being blocked by Google for access to Google Drive. I hve enabled FX access in the proper settings. No luck. Other apps e.g. File Explorer Plus don't have this problem. Looks like I may have to switch.

this app was, is, and will always be the coolest I've ever used. even in the final months to where it stopped being useful and lost all its features. It no longer works with the rest of my system without pressing the metaphorical red button...diving down a deep narrow rabbit hole is not my idea of a good time. i no longer recommend this app unless using pre android 9 (really 8) build image. it's not at all compatible anymore with 11+ unless you're an expert. sorry..

Used to love this app for cloud storage but after they dropped support(android limitation, but it's been a year now come on devs!) Loved the interface. I switched to solid explorer(paid) and I love it the support cloud, local, root, android/data, and pass/print locking cloud drives. And it's a nice yi as well. Highly recommend for anyone looking to switch.

While I have five or six file managers installed on my phone, FX File Explorer is the primary file manager which I use. Besides giving me access to the internal storage (normal file name editing, file location control, etc.), I can connect to my cloud drives (Dropbox and Google Drive) and I can connect to my desktop computers and consequently transfer files between all of these devices from within FX File Explorer which is extremely useful.

I've been using this app for years and it's served me very well. I'm happy to financially support an app which refuses to show ads and continues to be useful over the years. EDIT: I sadly have to reduce my rating by a star. The new update broke some functionality: I can now no longer set a default app for several file types, e.g. MX Player to open all video and ReadEra to open all PDFs. Now it either opens the builtin viewer / web browser, or prompts me to pick an app each time I open a file.
