Duʿaʾ al-ʿAhd (Arabic:دعاء العهد) is a supplication narrated from Imam al-Sadiq (a) and there, re-allegiance with Imam al-Mahdi (a) and praying for his return are mentioned. Recitation of this supplication during the occultation of Imam al-Mahdi (a) has been greatly emphasized. It is said that anyone who recites this supplication forty successive mornings will be among the companions of Imam al-Mahdi (a).
