By October 6, 2019, all existing landline and DUO numbers in the Philippines with area code "02" will be changed to an 8-digit number format. The number 7 will be added to Globe landline/DUO numbers, number 3 for Bayantel numbers, number 5 for Eastern, and number 8 for PLDT. This is in compliance with National Telecommunications Commision (NTC) Memorandum Order No. 4-07-2018.
Example:
Globe landline number (02) 730-1000 will become (02) 7730-1000.
Bayantel number (02) 499-4456 will become (02) 3499-4456

8-Digit Landline Edit will automatically add the new assigned prefix to "02" landline numbers saved in your contacts. It will check the numbers in your contacts that starts with 02, +632, 00632 and adds the corresponding number prefix depending on the telecom provider.
