The projects main objective is to demonstrate innovative and reliable Heat Pump solutions (thermal compression, adsorption, reversible) that acting properly coupled and managed with advanced solar panels (PV, Hybrid, thermal) can provide heating and cooling to residential and tertiary building with lower emissions, energy bills and fossil fuel dependency.

The SunHorizon app was created for the building residents and visitors of the projects demo sites buildings. The app allows the user to view real-time information about their building’s indoor climate and energy consumption. Furthermore, the user can provide feedback about their perceived comfort levels (e.g., if a room feels too hot/cold). The feedback provided is then used by the self-learning algorithm, that effectively ensures a comfortable indoor climate with the lowest energy consumption possible.
