Alerts for Reddit allows you to receive phone notifications for hot new posts on your favorite subreddits, or by your favorite users. Whether you're tracking /r/worldnews or /r/birdswitharms, your phone will notify you when a new post has quickly risen to the top of a subreddit. For user tracking, you can get notifications for new posts and/or comments by any public user on Reddit.Features:
- Add/remove/mute subreddits or users at any time to start/stop seeing notifications
- No need to link your reddit account - you can subscribe for notifications to any public subreddit or user.
- Add up to 3 notification subscriptions of your choosing for free; upgrade to Premium to receive notifications for more than 3.
- Set the notification frequency for each subreddit: "Trending: More" if you want notifications for all hot posts, "Trending: Fewer" if you only want breaking news, or "All" to get notified for all new posts. If you want "All" posts within 30 seconds of the post going live, you can upgrade to Premium Speed to enable the "All - Fast" frequency.
- Set the notification frequency for each user: "Posts only" or "Posts and Comments"
- Filter notification subscriptions by keyword. For example, if you want to receive notifications for /r/science where the title contains 'amphibian' or 'reptile' but not 'bird', you can!
- Got a Reddit app on your phone? Notifications will launch you straight to the app. No app? Notifications will bring you to Reddit via the browser.
- View recent alerts for your subscribed subreddits and users right in the app.
- Never miss the posts you care about!

I paid for the monthly service. However, the app never goes off. The author is very responsive. I really appreciate that. However, that doesn't matter if it never sends notifications to my phone. I set up custom notification sounds for the app. It just NEVER goes off. I check my notifications, and there are never any from the app. I have to constantly open the app and check the "recent notifications" tab for what I missed.

This app is exactly what I needed. I use it to keep track of a couple subreddits to keep up with sales on pc parts. The only thing I wish this app would have is the ability to blacklist certain words. For example, keyword is cpu, but I want to avoid posts with the words cooler. This way I would be able to narrow alerts to just the cpu and not cpu coolers as well (something I am not looking for).

App works as expected and pretty well at that. I had a few instances where a notification came in a few minutes late but that may have been due to some power saving on my phone. definitely worth the cheap subscription if you need immediate notifications. Disabling battery optimization and having the phone charging helps.

Super lightweight, simple yet effective. I use this for r/watchexchange to be notified when people post watches for sale. Most of the good ones are sold within minutes so this app allows me to get first in line. I love the ability to be able to specify key words as well. Only improvement I could want would be to allow the use of wildcards (or even regex) in the keywords. Great app, thanks!

Great app, great app dev. I really appreciated them for being friendly and communicative when I reached out with a question. This app has really benefited me over the years, it's really great to get notifications for certain subreddits, such as those that share discount codes, product sales etc. I especially appreciate the extremely clean, simple UI. Highly recommended

The subscriptions disappear after you've added them. Been like this for months. Means you can't edit them. UPDATE: dev has been in touch and is very responsive, adding a star and working with dev to resolve issue - nice one dev 👍🏻 UPDATE 2: app is bug free and one of my very favorite apps, 5 stars

Works until it doesn't. By default, all the notifications are coming in silent. The app is also creating a bunch of notification categories, one per each keyword I have set. It's extremely annoying, because every notification category has its own settings. Even though none of them are set as silent, they are still coming in silent. Then I have to manually force them as alerting. Pls fix.. There should only be one category for ALL notifications. Or at least make this per subreddit (All keywords).

Worked great when it was free, now that I paid I get LESS notifications.... But we're working on it
