The New Yorker app Is full of bugs which they don't fix. Examples include, bookmarks not working, audio downloads broken, randomly logging you out when you are in airplane mode and actually would like to read articles offline, etc. I have contacted their customer support multiple times with detailed bug reports in the hope that they will actually fix things. They respond with a canned response saying "reinstall the app" and never make an attempt to fix anything.

I love the magazine but the android app needs love! I've written in multiple times about not being able to save articles and it's still not fixed. That should be a P1 for the eng and product teams--that is basic functionality that should work. And now I'm getting stuck on the search screen and have to exit the app to get back to the homepage. Help!

I love the New Yorker but this app has some major flaws. Many, like the UI design for accessing crossword puzzles, were vastly improved by a recent update, but there are still random broken things. I can never open "what we're reading this week", most in-article links are broken, I can't see my saved stories, and my crossword puzzle progress gets wiped mid-session if I leave the app running in the background.

App often doesn't work to open an issue. The New Yorker previously had many articles in audio form and in last few months this has changed so at most 1-2 are in audio form per issue. Adding to this review. App still sucks. When I go into the audio section it lists articles "from current issue" however what shows up are article from an issue several weeks ago.

How do aging readers increase the font size in the Newyorker app (Android)? I love the magazine but it's getting harder and harder to read on the current app with its unchangeable little font! And I had already tried changing the font on my phone through my settings, which changes all the fonts on my phone...*except* the Newyorker app. Any other solutions?

Where is ANYTHING? One screen there's a menu, the next there's not. Default options appear to be library, issues, and one other that's not really useful for navigating. I have really been patient and have tried everything but can't crack the code. A year and a half later - 0 improvement.

Updating my review again as this app remains painful to use. Many features that are essential to modern news apps are missing, and I constantly have issues with the app in which my bluetooth earbuds force disconnect when I'm using the app. It's simply unenjoyable to use and frankly makes me less likely to take advantage of my subscription. - Feature: Add Dark Mode - Feature: Search...I don't think this is in there. - Bug: Stop randomly preventing signed-in users from accessing the app.

Overall the app is fine. The way content is deployed makes sense and I really appreciate the audio. The search is not really functional and very rarely produces a useful result. Instead I use 'New yorker something something' in Google. Would be great if you could fix that and I could stay inside the application.
