Mathrubhumi's e-paper app is excellent. I've been using this app for three years. However, an update was recently issued, and the text version (integrated fonts) capability was removed. It is now extremely difficult to read the content. Even when I pinch zoom, reading an article takes longer. I use a mobile device. Previously, the user could read the content by selecting either an image or a text version. The fonts were legible and made it simple to read the text. Can I request to bring it back?

While reading the news, for going to one page from another we have to do swipe. Instead of this swipe if you provide buttons as in the web version, it will be good. Because while reading we have to zoom and swipe. During this swipe also it goes to next or previous page. So the buttons can solve this problem. Also offline reading is annoying. Please provide proper offline reading option also.

Pathetic. I had taken a one year e subscription for കോട്ടയം edition of the newspaper and was having a great time in Readwhere. Now in the new app the navigation is nearly impossible. I am stuck at Trivandrum edition which doesn't change to Kottayam even if I select it. The screen shows "loading" but it simply does not load even after half an hour. Is there any provision to cancel my subscription and get back the money?

Dear Mathrubhumi, Following is submitted for your consumption:- 1. I love Malayalam and I love newspaper and I love Mathrubhumi newspaper. Whether it be the print version or the digital. BUT... 2. This app is NOT AT ALL user friendly. It’ll even make you throw the phone out of sheer desperation and helplessness. 3. I regret purchasing one year subscription, but at the same time I’m hopeful that some amount of effort will be done by your team to address ISSUES submitted by your humble consumers. Please look into following aspects:- 1. I would like to have a GUI which I can control, and not the other way round. Whenever I touch the screen (tried on iPad 11 Pro ALSO) to swipe right or left or to zoom in or out of a page, the bloody damn thing gets registered as a click and the corresponding article open (which was not my intention). Now when I go back and try to do it again this issue happens yet again...and again...and again. Then I’ve to ditch my phone or iPad. 2. Having an HD option is good. But when I enable it and move on to read an article by clicking it, the HD option automatically gets disabled. So now I’ve to put in the extra effort EVERY SINGLE TIME ON EVERY SINGLE PAGE. I don’t want to waste my time doing all this. 3. As soon as I exit from an article, everything gets RESET and starts from page 1. I would like to start from where I left. So if I was on page 5, then your app takes me back directly to page 1. Please spare me the effort of swiping pages and reaching page 5 again (which in itself is a laborious task as mentioned in ser.1) 4. Please provide a pdf (or equivalent) view with 600dpi resolution or better so that it is convenient for me to browse and read as required. You can disable download option to address the piracy issue. This will give me a feel of reading a newspaper rather then reading news articles online. 5. Someone from the design team can use this app (you can try the 7 day trial yourself) and find out all the annoying features/ bugs and take corrective action. Regards

The stupid app I ever installed. Mathrubhumi should work on improving the qa. Very difficult to control, no offline reading, an accidental tap will take you to another page or story, zooming is always a burden, most of the time we should turn on the HD option again and again, are few issues experienced. Overall the new app is quite annoying to deal with!

Not user friendly. Navigation between pages is a problem. Better introduce previous and next page buttons and maximize viewing area. Page tiles in lower bottom area is repeating due to cache problem and clicking on this crashes app. While zooming, menus also zoom and make page content view smaller. Viewing in HD is a gimmick as the page is already downloaded in HD. High loading time. Even a 100 page magazine in magzter app loads faster and user friendly than this. Either modify or change app.

Very Bad reading Experience. @Mathrubhumi Please update and improve your App interface so that it's Reader friendly. Problems which I found was, 1. No full screen reading 2. Absence of Next and Previous buttons which makes difficult for turning pages and the pages will zoom and turn when you don't want to.

Your payment link is not working always. I am already a subscriber. When the subscription period ends why not provide a link for renewal of subscription? Now to continue reading the e-edition I have to remove the app and again download it and repeat the original formalities! And it's almost guaranteed that your payment option will not work! It's a disappointing experience!!
