if you are implying this can be depended on for outdoor navigation I seriously disagree. in fact I would consider it dangerous. I understand the disclaimers you have about the compass being only as accurate as your phone, that is why I have compared it to other apps. When the phone is held flat it seems to get a true reading. but when I turn it at a 90° angle (upright) so that I can see the compass along with the landscape from the camera the reading is off considerably.

I *know* I paid for an ad free version... Now this thing is practically unusable. In the live map does not display current location anymore. The ads couldn't be more obtrusive taking over the screen time to delete... Too bad... after all these years, I really liked this app. Glad there are other options now...

I would love to make a purchase as this tool would fit my usage. Unfortunately, I realized the app is not stable as I found out the following problems: - The map sometimes does not center current location (this happens normally when "Show Address" is not ticked. - The camera sometimes is blurred and does not auto-focus. There is no way I can refocus it - When "Show Address" in not ticked, both information for altitude and latitude/longitude becomes unavailable too

UPDATE: I just updated to Version 5.52 on my Android 11 phone.... thank you developer for fixing the frozen Marine compass issue I had in version 5.46.... the app is working great again! Here's my review of the app: I'm in real estate and use it for one of my listing photos.... really helps to differentiate my photos, and also looks like I hired a professional photographer : ) Gives buyers a great visual of which way the sun rises and sets in relation to the home.

Had this app since 2014 and it is still one of the coolest compass apps with a bunch of great options and has continued to get better and in my opinion stay ahead of almost every other app of it's kind! So five stars for each year I've had this app would equal 40 ⭐'s by now.

I love so much I paid for it. Compass stays "on" even if I take a break while hiking. I text the screen shot to my wife when I leave on a trailhead.. The picture gives my GPS coordinates in case I get hurt or stranded. Love this app!

Purchased on 2/4/2024. Their ad sounds good and dev is very reputable so I'll update my report after testing for a few months. 2/24/2024, turns out it's everything they say and more and a really fun app to play with. 10 stars to the development crew as this one is definitely a complicated build.
