Appart from the search that might use some improvements, everything is awesome Offline maps and all the customization options are really great and it's also nice to have an efficient alternative to Google Maps I don't know if I just missed the option but I would like to see the maps by just looking at my screen without unlocking my phone, kind of the Google Maps way

Awesome app, but search needs to be a bit smarter. When I type the name of my city in "search by city", tens of the first results are streets that contains the name of the city and in the middle of those there is the actual city. Organic Maps seems to be better, you could learn from them :) But for anything else, this is a great use of osm data and philosophy.

The navigation became unusable for me. The map does not auto rotate anymore (I'm using a bicycle), when riding a bicycle in a Europe city you can't afford to look continuously at the map to figure out where to go, the information needs to be clear. The auto rotation allowed me to guess at a glimpse where to go. Now that it's gone I have to rotate in my head to figure out where should I go, most of the time I fail at doing that so I end up backtracking..

I use OsmAnd everyday at work. Why? Because I dont need any network, map are in the memory of the phone, quick loading, I can create and sort my favorites destination and save theme anywhere in memory using the share option and total commander and share theme with people, you used well your brain there, dev. Point of interest as convenient store damn that is saving my ass each day to eat something! And using OpenStreetMap map that is really good because I can modify the map on osm and update it.

Fair map app. No address look up, just destination road & cross streets. Choosing destination on the map, but it may not show. Showed 2 houses on a street where there are 12. Routing is ok, does not look at traffic, says trip is 25mi. in 28 min., hour is likely. Rereroutes when you turn off. Sticks to major roads but suggest to many U-turns when changing path. Places are out of date by up to 5 yrs & some all out wrong, never had that name. Audio is good, some nice options there too. But ...

Haven't been able to use the app properly as you can't find a specific address!! I've tried so many different options and nothing works. I thought that maybe I'm just being stupid, but it turns out it's a very common issue with this app. I even typed in a city like London and low and behold, it didn't find it 🤦🏽😂 All the other features seems to be pretty decent, such a bike route, all the map gadgets such as weather etc, it's just a shame that you can't type in the address 🙈

Using and loving this app since almost 15 years. But the latest version has some massive issues re. screen updates. More often than not it doesn't react at all to on-screen shifts (or movements) and large parts of the display remain white. Next to unusable. :-( This is on a Samsung Galaxy S-23 Ultra / Android v14.

This is probably one of the best mapping apps available. It relies on OpenStreetMap (open-source, community project), which already makes it great, and it provides good navigation and plenty of information. Only thing is that it's important not to rely on the app unless you know the map is good because some parts of the world are still partially unmapped and business info is limited.
