Keep locating me in random places, so I can't know where I am on the trail. Sometimes, my "session is expired" and I have to wait for phone service to be able to log in again. In the meantime, I can't check-in... And sometimes, my location is right but the trail would be gone. Impossible to get it displayed again unless I uninstall and install the app again. Wasting battery, data and my patience every time it happens... I can't always rely on FarOut since it glitches often. Happens to others too

Attention developers, for some reason I'm getting a bug with my version of the app. On the Appalachian trail map on the elevation mode, I am not seeing the little blue dot marking my location like I used to. Everything else is working fine and it seems to calculate my location as well as distance to and from other waypoints fine but the little blue dot is gone and it's nice to have. Hopefully you can fix

I downloaded this app and bought the map for the James River in VA. This has been such an amazing tool in the bag. I use it multiple times a day everyday. For anyone going on a wilderness trail, path or river, this app is a must have! The satellite location feature is simply awesome! Ten Stars.

I'm sure this is great for a through hike of heavily traveled trails, but it seems that I can only display one guide at a time, so it's difficult to use for planning loops of popular trails. It doesn't work for what I need at all.

I hiked over 320 miles on the WA PCT this summer and found this app indispensable. It gave so much real time, on trail info that helped me each day. I especially loved being able to read other hikers comments re a water source, trail closures etc.

Unreliable. I have talked to a lot of hikers on trail who have had similar experiences. The app signs you out randomly, and if you don't have service to sign back in, you are left without the maps you paid for. Edit: I had already contacted support. They had me uninstall and reinstall the app. It changed the appearance for a day and prompted me 4 times to rate their app in the first week. Edit 2: I got signed out again on 8/11 and it took 3 days to get signed in because I didn't have connection

FarOut is the best navigation app for long trails that is currently available, but the software is riddled with problems: maps won't load sometimes for unknown reasons, the app constantly signs me out of my account which prevents me from using most of the features, switching from one trail to another is clunky and unintuitive. The app usually does everything I need it to, but the user interface leaves much to be desired. It's not a perfect app, but it's the only one of its kind.

The new version keeps kicking me out randomly, which makes it really inconvenient when trying to save routes. Often says "session aborted" Edit: this is not a support issue, it's a design one. If you are in areas with bad cell signal (on a long hike, what are the chances?) it kicks you out. There is no option to store all data offline. That's a poor design.
