Does several things well; connect to network, find and pair with device, control the switch as advertised. Programming is quite straightforward even if the English is a bit awkward. Family sharing does not work: additional family members cannot be registered. Therefore the device can be controlled by only one identity. Fix that--5 stars.

Its actually the device, a Brilliance Smart Socket, that I am unhappy with. It goes OFFLINE frequently. It works immediatly after unplugging and plugging back in. A lot of good that does!! The socket is in the same room as the router. Too expensive and at this point a waste of $$$.

Won't stay connected, loses schedule, but somehow still comes on at the wrong time. Constantly having to re-pair mods. This app hasn't worked properly in years. Time to move on to something else.

Keep losing connection to wifi. I have wifi extender right next to lights yet they continue to drop. I've reset them about 50 times and its just useless. I have both 2.4 and 5ghz set on router. Frustrating!!

No trouble shooting if the plug doesn't work. App won't help you, still not sure if it's a connection/app issue or problem with the Smart Socket. Either way, it's a POS and getting returned.

Just as everyone else is saying, the Smart Socket 2 constantly goes offline. To be sure that I didn't just receive a defective unit, I switched out my old one with a new one, and 5 minutes after installing, it went offline

Wow .Talk about not user friendly .Lot of money for a combiner box that I cannot program.1st you have to make sure your wifi is 2 mhz not 5mhz.Took a lot time to make the change .Bluetooth still does not recognize device.Wish I knew all this before purchasing.Instructions vague at best.

Terrible! The app is constantly offline. I can be standing right next to the device and the button will appear online but will not allow me to turn lights on or off.
