It is the only small free App I know of all the dozens of Apps I tried that is an acceptable compromise for devices with low memory. I think the most annoying thing is that every time one tilts the phone the document view jumps to the top of the document and the cursor disappears. That is especially true if one works in the middle of a large document. But the developers don't care about the big and small inconveniences one faces as user. -> If possible copy a corrupted document and create a new.

I like the app alot, you can write quickly and easily, you can change fontstyle, -size and -color and you can rename files. On another device I have an app I like slightly more (it wasn't available on this device) because you can change the background and you can do propper headings, so that's a suggestion. Otherwise an awesome app!!!

Why not just save where the original file was? If We click on "save over", i guess it's fine to let you choose which folder. But if I just clicked on "save", i would appreciate if you just overrite the file instead of letting me search for that specific folder again. Speaking of which, the folder is inside the android > data folder that was accessible after rooting my phone. But for some reason this app cannot access the folder, so there's literally no way for me to save my edit.

EDIT: There are so many good text editors available through a one-off purchase, which receive regular updates, that buying yours with none would seem foolish. If, however, you were to offer a reasonable upgrade fee, i.e., some percentage of the original cost, for major feature additions (not bug fixes or minor updates to already paid-for features), I might consider buying from you. And thanks for caring to ask! ORIGINAL: No outright purchase. To avoid ads, you have to watch an ad. ???

The best App I found for simple text editing, and I tried many. It's a simple Text Editing experience without forcing unwanted steps; launch it, write your text, and go. However, it does give you options to save and manage your text further, but doesn't force you to. It provides full word-processing functionality that "simple text editors" don't have, functionality that's hard to find: Find/Replace, ±Zoom, File Stats, Fonts, Formating, Printing, and Save As Text or HTML to preserve formatting.

An actual text/WYSIWYG editor rather than a note taker so allows individual and alternative save locations. Formatted text is saved as .html file (*.txt.html) rather than .rtf but the result is the same. Ads are annoying but limited. Updates are never explained. Quirky UI. Missing a spellchecker. Drawer and App info names differ. Fresh reset is handy. Good support. Downgraded and uninstalled after finding it won't load without internet access.

*Update! Following (Very prompt) developer reply, I updated and the bug was fixed and the app opened again - thanks! Just a pity it took a review for something to be done* Just updated and now won't open. Used to love this app but recent changes to the look and feel of it have made it confusing and not so intuitive anymore. Now in search of a replacement unfortunately. This latest update was the last straw.

So far, so good - and I tried 12+ text editors. And this IS a text editor, not a damned sticky notes app. It accesses my Google/MS cloud drives, opens my 720k text file, handles what's in its menus AND the ads are not too in the way. I'd give 5 stars, if not for saving issues: if saving my 720k file to int storage, the app also closes the file, and saving anything to my MS 1Drive gives an error w report option (which doesn't work). But in all cases the file DOES save.
